A/N: I do not know where this came from. Honestly. I just felt the need to write it. I blame tumblr.
Short, sweet, a little sappy because I can't help myself. I just needed a smile tonight :)
Disclaimer: I don't own anything. Just the idea.
"I feel so alive tonight- you've got me feeling sublime."
The night air had a bit of a chill, but it exhilarated Jenny; the redhead felt alive, happy- free. Paris was shining, sparkling, glowing.
"It's beautiful," she said, turning to her companion, lips turned up in a smile. "Only five more minutes until it's lit up."
Her silver-haired partner rolled his eyes, amusement coloring the cobalt irises as he followed her through the streets, hands slung in his pockets. His lips were curved up into that signature smirk, his eyes running along the architecture of the building surrounding them and occasionally her body.
"It's our last night in Paris before Serbia," she commented as they walked along, the Seine River to their right, Jethro's arm slung around her shoulders, warming her slightly. Her thin wrap dress may make her look hot, but it did nothing to keep her warm.
"Mmm," Jethro said against her hair, lips brushing her neck as he kissed her jaw and throat, a warm shiver passing through her. "Better put those sheets to good use then."
Jenny tilted her head back as she laughed, the melodical sound bouncing off the wall behind them and echoing around their heads.
"Is your head ever out of the bedroom?" she asked, amusement lining her face. When he shook his head she rolled her eyes, turning her head to kiss him, arms wrapping around his neck to pull him closer. His hands rested on her lower back, tugging her against his body as the kiss deepened, eyes closing and breathing becoming more labored. One of Jenny's hands cupped Jethro's neck, the other pressing against his chest, his heart beat thundering against her palm.
Pulling back, she looked into his eyes, hands coming up to cup his cheeks. Their gazes locked for a moment before Jenny let out a soft gasp, surprising Jethro.
The Eiffel Tower lit up behind Jenny, reflected back in Jethro's eyes. The beauty of the moment caught her off guard- she bit her lip, drawing in a deep breath.
"Jen?" he asked, one hand cupping her cheek, concern darkening the sapphire gaze as he studied her.
"I'm fine," she said after a moment, smiling at him as her hands rested in the center of his chest. "I've just never anything that beautiful before."
Jethro's mouth curved up into a smile, though his eyes still questioned her. She bit her lip, emerald eyes smiling as she looked back at the Eiffel Tower, sparkling in front of them, the beacon of the city.
"I've never seen you look so alive before," she admitted with a slightly shrug, her voice soft as the night air moved around them, making her shiver slightly. "You looked happy."
"I am happy, Jen," he replied in a quiet voice, sliding one hand around her waist as the other turned her face back towards him, pushing into her thick crimson hair. "You make me happy."
Her pale cheeks flushed happily, lighting her entire visage up as her lips curled into a smile, eyes lighting up. She leaned forward, kissing him, lips eager against his.
"Let's enjoy tonight," she whispered into his ear, hands sliding down his torso.
He couldn't agree more.
