Ichigo was walking around Soul Society until, he saw an old friend of his.
I saw her today
Rukia felt a very familiar reiatsu.
I saw him today
"Hey, Rukia!" He called out for her.
It seems like it's been forever
Rukia smiled at the nostalgic voice and made her way to him.
I wonder if he still cares
"You look great." Ichigo said with his usual grin.
She looks better than before
"And you look the same as usual." she laughed.
I couldn't help staring at him
"So, how are you? Are things fine?" Ichigo asked curiously.
I asked her how things were going
"Yeah everything's going great. Ah, I heard about you & Orihime?" she asked with a cheeky smile.
I asked about his new girlfriend
"Heh, yeah. We've been together for about a month." he said with a soft smile.
I'd choose her over any girl I'm with
"I always knew you guys would end up together somehow." she giggled.
He's probably really happy now
"It really has been some time, huh, Rukia?" he asked as he shifted his gaze away from her.
I couldn't look at her without starting to cry
"Yeah, I guess it has.." Rukia said, noticing the boy's gestures.
He couldn't even look at me
"You know, Rukia, I've missed you." Ichigo said as he placed his hands in his pockets.
I told her I missed her
"I have too, Ichigo." She said as she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
He doesn't miss me
Ichigo glanced at her.
I meant it
Rukia caught his glance but looked away.
He didn't mean it
Ichigo took a silent deep breath and stared into Rukia's eyes.
I love her
Rukia gazed back.
He loves his new girlfriend
"Rukia, my time in Soul Society is limited. I need to get back." he said sadly as he bent down to hug her.
I held her for the last time
"I see.. I hope you return back safely." she whispered as she wrapped her small arms around his abdomen.
He gave me a friendly hug
Releasing the hug, Ichigo looked into her eyes, then turned around and started walking away.
Then I went home and cried
Rukia watched him walk away into the distance then started heading home herself.
Then I went home and cried
Walking back, Ichigo stopped in his tracks and clenched his fists as couldn't fight back the tears as they streamed down his face.
I lost her
Rukia couldn't hold it in as she fell to her knees and sobbed into her hands.
