I think this was a deleted scene from Special Education. I mean, how did Kurt end up in the front when so many people had seniority over him? Hmm? Here's my solution...

"Alright guys, that's a wrap," David called out, ending the gruesome last rehearsal before Sectionals. The group of boys was relieved to be released from their lengthy, technical practice.

"Hey Kurt," Wes said, watching the boys file out of the room, "Can I have a word?"

"Go on," Blaine said, giving Kurt a nudge in the right direction; he was at a stand-still due to his previous encounter with Wes during his solo audition, "He doesn't bite."

"I'm going," Kurt shrugged, as he felt like a salmon swimming upstream against his fellow Warblers.

A moment of silence passed, as they both stood awkwardly in the room, waiting for David to leave them some privacy. He left with a goodbye to both boys, as the door slammed; Wes patted the piece of couch next to him.

"I have a proposition for you," Wes said, as Kurt cocked an eyebrow, "I was wondering if you wanted to change places for Sectionals."

"What? Why?" Kurt asked, completely dumbfounded as to why Wes would want to blend into the background with the other Warblers, when he was co-head of the committee.

"I see the way you and Blaine look at each other," Wes admitted, as Kurt's eyes shot towards the carpet. He tried to ignore the rising blush that was quickly spreading over his face.

"But, don't you want to be in front?" Kurt nearly mumbled, afraid to pick his head up, to reveal his rosy cheeks.

"Look, when Blaine sings lead, he feeds off of the two people standing closest to him. I think he'd like you standing there," Wes said, trying not hint too hard at the amount of time Blaine fawned over the precise color of the newest Warbler's eyes, or how many times Teenage Dream has been hummed under his breath.

"I just don't understand. Don't you hate me?" Kurt said, picking his head up to look at Wes. Wes shook his head, with a small smile that comforted the younger boy.

"I didn't trust you before. You were from another Glee club. I thought you were trying to seduce Blaine, then break his heart, so you could go back to McKinley and win Sectionals," Wes said, as Kurt immediately related the trust issues to the Rachel and Jesse debacle from last year.

"I understand," Kurt said, not lingering on the seduction factor, because he was trying. Man, oh man, was Kurt trying to seduce his mentor at Dalton. And, from the stories Wes has heard, it was working.

"So, would you like to switch places?" Wes offered, one more time, as Kurt could hardly contain his enthusiasm.

"I would love to," Kurt gushed, before his cheeks tinged pink again, "I mean, if you want to."

"I wouldn't be bringing it up, if I didn't want to," Wes wholeheartedly said, as Kurt felt like he could bubble over from happiness. He felt like he was finally meshing with the other boys.

Oh Goodness. I liked this drabble. I think it's one of my favorite ones I've ever attempted... and I have attempted so many that it's pathetic. I'm actually proud of this one. What did all of you think?
