Patou, Snipes and Peepers watched edmond try to go talk to knew its wouldnt work but watched him head for the trailer anyway. Snipes, very bored and obnoxious as usual bursted out
"WHO WANTS TO GO EAT SOME LASAGNA!"
Peepers just rolled her eyes and patou sighed of annoyment. As if anyone cared what snipes wanted to do. All he wanted to do is eat lasagna all NIGHT! 15 minutes later of silence and they still decided on nothing to do. Edmond was far off into town on his way to Goldie so they decided to give in.
"Well i think im going to find a place to sleep" patou said wandering off.
Snipes eyed peepers with the dopiest grin he could ever give.
"What d'ya say you and i go out to eat Peeps"
"WHAT?! with YOU?!" cried a shocked Peepers.
"Doh come on Peepers. Just you, me, and two plates of lasagna"
The female mouse sighed and followed him to a nearby diner. A little while later, the two friends were caught up laughing and talking and for the first time not actually killing each other. What a miracle this was. As their food came PEepers fell silent as she slowly ate her lasagna.
"Hey Peeps, you ok?" asked a very concerned snipes.
"i guess im just missing my old husband. now im just a mouse wife"
Snipes winced a bit hearing that. He couldn't believe she actually believed it. He saw tears start to fill her eyes. GEntly, she took her hand and gave it a comforting squeeze.
"Snipes? What IS love like?"
He froze for a sec. His eyes widened a bit and his face grew nervous. He honestly didnt know what to think, considering HE had feelings for her as well.
"Well...uh..."
Peepers looked unsure of him and suddenly looked at him deeper.
"Love is like...like..."
Cmon think Snipes think! how to describe your love for peepers thought Snipes looking around. He then eyed his plate of lasagna.
"Love is like...Lasagna!"
"so its...cheesy?" asked a very confused Peepers.
"no! love is like lasagna because it has every perfect element. you got your sauce, your cheese, your meat, your parmesan! And you! youve got looks...and...beautiful EYES...A-and you have this...upbeat personality that makes me go..."
He stopped as he looked deep in her eyes. Peepers was in absolute shock of what came out of his mouth. Was he in love with her? Only one way to find out. Snipes suddenly leaned in and kissed Peepers. Taken by surprised, the younger mouse kissed back with a sense of warmth inside her body. She felt as if he were the answer to her prayers. Suddenly the kiss deepened as both tongues tickled each other. They parted as they heard patou come through the door.
"WHAT THE HECK DID YOU JUST DO!?"
Taken by surprise the two kept quiet and followed Patou out the door. Snipes kissed her cheek and smiled. He loved her and for all he knew, she could love him too. And all thanks to a simple plate of lasagna.
