I don't own anything

For him she is just his mom

Regina Mills was a complex soul, she could be kind and cruel. She would lead you to your death but save you on a whim. She would give you the world but take your old one, without a second though. She was tormented and broken beyond repair but on the surface appears complete and unmarked.

She sat in front of her homes hearth. She was clad in a black silk nightgown. The gown wrapped around her neck and the lace end laid upon her knees. She held a glass of her homemade apple cider in a crystal glass. She swirled the crystal with her right hand, making the amber liquor rock in her glass. Her eyes were glazed over, it had been a hard night. The nightmare was still fresh in her mind. "mother please stop, you're hurting Me." her our screams rang in her mind. The answer was even more haunting. "That's the point dare, you failed and must pay the price, you will be better for it. I only do this for your own good. One day you will thank me ". The words squeezing her heart. She would never thank that monster, she would never lay a hand upon her own child. It made her sick to think about it.

She hated the woman with a passion. She had taken everything, her innocence, childhood, dreams, hope and even happiness. Hell even her love, the damn bitch stole her love. She had never been nothing more than a tool for her mother to use. "She didn't even deserve to be called a mother". Regina spoke darkly over her glass as she sipped her apple cider. No, Regina knew what it meant to be a mother. She gave all of herself for her son. Her world was Henry. He meant everything to her. Without him she was a hollow shell. She would move the sun and moon for him. There wasn't any magick in this world but she would find a way.

She had been so lost in thought that she didn't even hear her son come down the steps. "Mommy, I h-had a scary dream". He stood in the door way, in his favorite superhero pajamas and Purple blanket. "Mamas got you baby boy." Regina walked over to her for year old son and picked him up in to her arms. She held him close to her chest rubbing his back, soothing his fear as he nuzzled deep in to her collar bone. "I love you mommy." His breath start to settle as he dozed off in his mother's arms. Her heart speed up at his love for her.

Regina sat back in her chair with Henry in her arms, the fire strong as ever. His blanket coved his sleeping form. He never slept without his blanket. Her mother never let her have anything of the sort, she said it made her week. Regina knew that it wasn't right, she was just a baby but the pain at hands of her mother had start early. She would never hurt Henry knowingly.

Regina wasn't her mother, she fights to stay herself and not her mother. In the past she had acted like her but when it came to Henry she just couldn't do it. He brought out the best in her. When it was just her and Henry she could be Regina, his mother. There was no need to be the evil queen and so long as she had him, her heart would beat for him. She would be the best mother she could be.
