As a note, I am not experienced at making long peices of writing, this is a first attempt at a longer story that will take time. I hope that you the reader can enjoy my writing, and maybe have something to say that could motivate me or help me to get better.
Last note: Sorry if this chapter and future chapters are short, I have trouble with longer peices.
Prologue: The Crash
A single man with a strange robe stood on top of a skyscrapper, a worried look on his face. For the last hour, he had felt that something was wrong, yet had found nothing to support his intuition. Ready to dismiss the feeling and be off, he stopped himself from leaving when he noticed something falling from the sky. The object fell into the city, leveling a whole block on impact and shattering glass for the next ten around it. Within seconds of the impact, a portal opened in the city, and the man was struck by lightning, dissappearing completely.

Standing in the middle of a crater, the word 'Tenshu' kept rolling through the man's mind, the only memory he could manage to get. Looking around, all he could see was destruction, leaving him confused at what could have happened. Assuming the memory was his name, Tenshu climbed out from the crater just to see a battle going on around him. Gunshots rattled from behind him, aimed at strange creatures rushing forword to battle. One ran straight at Tenshu, extending a blade out of its arms before trying to strike at him. Without thinking, he knocked the blade aside and punched what he could only describe as 'it' in the face. Stunned, Tenshu just looked at his fist as the tarkata stumbled back.
Looking back up, the tarkata charged once more, and Tenshu reacted again, his body knowing more of combat then he did. Grabbing the blade that protruded from the creature, he barely dodged another blade, coming from the other arm, aimed to slice at his chest. When it cut the front of Tenshu's shirt open, the tarkata's face showed surprize, muttering "Marked one!" before taking a massive blow to the face. Knocked to the ground and no longer held by the blade, the tarkata showed fear, trying to scramble away without standing first.
Thinking of getting rid of the beast that was now running, Tenshu took a few steps forword before an intense pain pierced into his chest. Looking down to the exact spot the pain resonated from, he saw a crystal imbedded into his chest, glowing and swirling gold. Gripping it, Tenshu barely heard the sound of thunder boom from behind him. Turning, he saw a man in a white robe. The man extended out a hand, and said "Come." Starting to lose conscience, Tenshu reached out for the hand, feeling it grasp his just before everything went black.

Starting to wake up, Tenshu kept his eyes closed, not moving an inch. His chest no longer in pain, Tenshu could hear faint voices, one of them recognizable as the one in the white robes.
"...How can we trust him. You said he fell from the sky just before the portal opened, there could be a connection."
"I don't sense anything dark within him, and he could be of assistance. We'll know more once he has awoken."
"I hope you're making the right decision, Lord Raiden..."
