The giggling little girl smiled at her father with her tiny little grin and he couldn't help but smile back as wide as he could. She had baby teeth already and her fuzzy head of blonde hair brought out her little green eyes. Jordan thought she definitely resembled Angela, though Angela would point out that she had his lips and a few other features. That seemed to be the extent of it, as within the first weeks of her life, it became apparent she did not share her father's quiet nature.

While she may have looked like her mother, she was no doubt a Daddy's girl. At the age of six months, Jordan's daughter already had him firmly wrapped around her finger and he couldn't begin to fathom how he had ever lived without her.

It was the first time baby Cass had been without Angela, who was out of town for business that weekend. It wasn't an ideal situation but Angela would be back the next morning and in the meantime, Jordan had enjoyed spending one on one time with his little girl. He picked her up from her spot on the couch and held her, gently rocking her back and forth. She was getting sleepy and it was about time for her nap anyways. He set her down in her crib and she was out like a light, though that didn't stop Jordan from keeping a close eye on her.

She slept less than twenty minutes before waking up crying. Jordan couldn't console her though not from lack of trying. She wasn't hungry, she didn't need to be changed, and she clearly didn't want to sleep. He held her again, rocking her back and forth and cooing.

A light bulb seemed to go off in his head and he cleared his throat, hoping it would work. He hadn't performed Red since the 90's though he had played it for Angela during her pregnancy. If it had comforted her mother, hopefully it would calm Cass. He had no other options.

He sang softly, recalling just how far he and Angela had come as he looked his daughter in the eyes, holding her closer still.

Cass seemed to calm down a little bit and he kept singing, rocking her back and forth. He kept singing and she stopped crying, eventually erupting in a giggle. Jordan couldn't help but smile again as he held her tight, still singing softly.
