Lessons

Alanna watched bemused as her energetic daughter strode off with yet another young man. Normally, she would have worried but as none of the boys managed to keep Aly's attention for more than

a month, there was little to worry about. Every few weeks or so Aly came home with a new lad in tow, enraptured by her pretty figure and sharp wit. Time after time, however, her daughter grew

weary and bored and yet another young man was discarded and ceased his visits. Despite all this, Alanna was still fearful of the day when Aly would come home heartbroken. Still, Alanna mused,

Aly would never face the worthlessness and self pity she herself once felt….

Because…..

Despite her daughter's keenness toward fighting and her parents trades Alanna always insisted for every riding, archery, or knife lesson Aly must also take an etiquette, cooking, or sewing lesson.

Because…

Alanna refused to let anyone call her daughter 'unfeminine'.
