I'm scared; Dean had been watching the window waiting for Dad to get back from break. That's what Dean always called it the place daddy always went too when he need a break.
He had been sleeping when Dean sudden shook him awake hissing at him to go hid in the closet and to not come out until he said so. The fear in his brother's voice frightened me.
I could hear the door slam open and daddy's voice booming through the rentals living room even through the wooden door I hid behind. I was shaking badly, daddy got like this sometimes. Sometimes when he went to the break place he came back very mad, nothing ever turned out well on those nights. Dean always hides me away when daddy gets like this.
A loud whimper broke through the quiet bring my focus back to what went on behind the door. Daddy was yelling at Dean, he was saying bad words calling Dean names. I was mad at daddy he was never nice to Dean anymore.
*Crack* *Crack* *Crack*
Dean screamed, he was saying "I'm sorry" over and over again. Begging their father to stop whatever he was doing. Daddy wasn't stopping and Dean screams turned to whimpering and what sounded like choked sobs. I didn't know what was going on but I wanted my big brother hear and daddy to leave us alone.
