Remus woke up with a jolt.
What was that about? He thought. He had a very real feeling dream that he and his wife Tonks had died. Yes, he still called her Tonks, it suited her.
However, Remus wasn't thinking of what he called his wife but rather the horrible dream he had. They had died during battle. Remus hadn't realized he was shaking until he felt someone grab his hand.
"Shh love I'm here." Tonks cuddled in closer.
"I know." Remus whispered. It was just a dream.
He awoke later to an empty bed. Tonks wasn't in bed and he grew nervous. Had the entirety of last night been a dream. Remus slowly got up and put on his bath robe. He padded barefoot down the hall.
"Sirius?" He asked startled to see one of his oldest friends sitting at the table. Maybe I am dead.
"Remus?" Sirius mocked.
"What... how... why are you here? I thought you were dead?"
"Well last time I checked I'm alive." Sirius chuckled. Remus heard footsteps behind him and saw Tonks walk in.
"You're early Sirius. Breakfast isn't for another hour."
"First come first serve."
"Yes well Teddy is the youngest so he gets to eat first." Remus noticed the little boy and Tonks feet. How was that possible? Teddy was a newborn last time he checked.
"You alright sweetie?" Tonks asked.
"Teddy is so big."
"You say that like you haven't seen him in years." Tonks laughs as a door opens then slams shut.
"Were here!" Shouts a familiar voice. Harry walks in and scoops up Teddy then sits next to Sirius.
"Sorry were late." A voice Remus hadn't heard in almost twenty years says. He is face to face with James Potter.
"What the hell? How is this possible?" Remus cries.
"Moony? You alright bud. You look like you've seen a ghost."
"I am. I thought I died. And how are you here? Voldemort-"
"Is dead. Died years ago." Lily pipes up.
"But he attacked you when Harry was a baby."
"Tried to. Aurors found him and killed him quick."
"Peter?"
"Sold us out. But Snillveus sorry Severus told us what was going to happen and Aurors stopped them."
"Severus?"
"Yes Severus. Why are you asking all this love?" Tonks asks wrapping her arms around Remus.
"No reason Just had a weird dream last night. Felt so real. But it doesn't matter. None of that matters. Only us." Remus smiled kissing Tonks cheek. It was all just a dream.
