Souxie peered at Zetsu from her hiding place among the trees. She had been tracking him for the past 3 days, determined to kill him at the right time. Only after all the Akatsuki were dead, would she be content.
It wasn't easy being a jinchuuriki, especially with those damn Akatsuki rounding them up. The very thought infuriated the young jinchuuriki hidden among the trees.
Souxie's life had always been hard, and it only worsened as she grew up. She could take the dirty looks from the villagers; she could take the isolation from the world. It had been like that most of her childhood, and she was just fine with that. All she needed was Gobi, and no one else.
The five tailed dog had been like a brother to her. Ever since Souxie was 4, and she discovered what was inside of her, she spent all her life serving Gobi. She didn't fear him; she looked up to the demon dog. Gobi was the only one who didn't shun her.
"So…what now Souxie?"
Gobi often asked her that. He asked her when she ran away from her village at age 5, he asked her when she left to pursue the other jinchuuriki, and he asked her when she hunted the Akatsuki.
Souxie always had a plan. She always knew what to do next. Good thing too, or the Akatsuki might have got her by now.
"You forget, they don't even know your face or name," the dog chimed.
"Still…I can't hide who I am from the world forever…"
"We will find the others before I'm revealed. Kyuubi could be a great help whenever we face them…"
"Your power with illusions has helped me conceal myself though, Gobi-sama."
"Hmm…I suppose so, just be careful with my elemental power. Just use one or someone will figure out you are my container…"
Gobi's power had helped Souxie time after time. Gobi had power of the five elements: water, fire, earth, wind, and lightning. He was also, the demon of illusions, surprisingly enough. This helped Souxie change her appearance, and fool her enemies. It was also the reason why the Akatsuki could never find the Gobi Jinchuuriki.
Gobi had warned Souxie multiple times to stick with one element, so she wouldn't draw attention. Heeding his words, the young jinchuuriki chose water. It just seemed to fit her.
Souxie was disrupted from her thoughts as Zetsu began to move again. She sighed, and swiftly followed. The guy was very strong, and not to mention a freakin plant! It would be hard to plan the right time to ambush, but she could wait.
I wonder if I'll ever find another jinchuuriki. Rykia was the only one I knew…
Souxie shook her head, emptying those thoughts. Rykia was gone, so it was pointless to keep mourning her. Although from time to time, she found herself desperately missing the Rokubi Jinchuuriki.
Zetsu quickened his pace, and Souxie did too. Where he was going in such a hurry, she didn't know. She only hoped for once in the past 3 days there would be an opening for her to attack.
Ugh…it isn't easy being 18… Souxie thought bitterly.
From the inside of mind, Gobi chuckled.
