Don't you love Sirius and Lily dynamic? I love Sirius and Lily dynamic
(written while half asleep after a day of studying chem)
Circumstance
A normal person would have realised that something was amiss if they had almost tripped over a pair of knickers lying haphazardly in the doorway of their dorm. However, if that person was Sirius Black returning from a gruesome round of detention with Filch, then they would merely roll their eyes and kick it to side while muttering about raunchy best mates who couldn't go two seconds without shagging their girlfriend. Unfortunately for him, it was not the first time he found Lily's underwear lying around the dorm and he sadly expected that it wouldn't be the last. Ever since those two started dating he learnt quickly enough that if Lily and James mysteriously disappeared at the same time it was best that you didn't follow them.
Like at all.
Not even if the building was on fire.
Do not go looking for them unless you want to be scarred for your life and unable to look either of them in the eye for an entire day. He learnt that pretty quickly after that first instance and it hadn't happened again, but you would think that by now James would be able to properly cast a silencing charm…
Coincidentally, as the frequency of these disappearances increased, so the probability of him finding strange clothing in the dorm that was most certainly of the feminine nature and most certainly did not belong to any of them. At least he hoped it didn't belong to any of them.
Which is why when he found the knickers lying on the floor he didn't really think that much of it. He slowly made his way to his bed, studiously ignoring the other pieces of clothes strewn across the room and toeing off his shoes while cursing the sadistic caretaker who made him scrub every inch of the trophy room with a tooth brush sans magic with words that would probably make even his mother cringe. Sirius doubted that he'd be able to use his hand properly for the rest of the week.
With a muffled yawn, he swiped one hand wearily across his face and used the other to push open the hangings to his bed ready to just fall right in and sleep for the rest of the day. He neither expected the high pitched scream that followed, nor the curse that blasted him back so that he stumbled back into the bed post of James' bed.
Flailing arms grabbed onto the hangings to keep him from falling back and with a surly, "What in the bloody hell?" he steadied himself before reaching over to pull apart his hangings more forcefully this time.
Lying there with his coverlet pulled up to her chin was a very much red in the face and apparently very much naked Lily Evans scowling at him despite her obvious embarrassment.
He blinked a few times to make sure that he wasn't seeing thing and then inwardly groaned because all he wanted to do was sleep, damn it. "'Lo Evans," he said as casually as always.
"Sirius," she replied in turn, her voice completely even and not betraying any of discomfort she felt.
He fixed her with an unimpressed look. "Now I know that I'm much better looking than Prongs, Evans, and we both know you turned me that time in fifth year I asked you to Hogsmeade to make him jealous so is there a reason you're lying naked in my bed?"
He didn't think that her face could get any redder but somehow it did and she pulled the coverlet even further up. "Er," she began, "Surprise?"
The snort that escaped him was only half his fault. "Wrong bed, love," he said. With a sigh Sirius turned his back and shut his eyes tightly. "Practice finishes in half hour; surprise him then." There was the sound of sheets ruffling in the background and hangings being drawn open and closed. This went on for a few moments and Sirius didn't dare turn around until the dorm was engulfed in complete silence once more as he rather liked having all his body parts where they were presently located thank you very much.
When he did finally turn back around, he found Lily fully dressed- well, probably not, but that was the beauty of having robes- standing stiff backed and cheeks still tinted pink.
"Perhaps it would be better to surprise him in the locker rooms then," she said, a wicked look glinting maliciously in her eyes.
Sirius chose to ignore her statement. For the aid of whatever little bit of sanity he had left he would ignore that statement. He watched as she walked out the dorm, lingering in the doorway for a moment.
"Tell anyone about this and I'll make sure that you won't be able to have children," she said cheerily.
"Only if you teach your boyfriend how to properly cast a silencing charm," he shot back in return. "You would think with all the noise you two make he would be better at wandwork-"
Lily made a sound akin to a cat being run over by a lawnmower. "Sirius!" she shouted, her face flaring once more.
The man in question smiled cheekily up at her, "Yes love?"
He almost laughed out loud when she stamped her foot in frustration. "You incorrigible, filthy little-"
"Yes, yes, I'm a fucking smarmy son of a bitch, you're not the first person to tell me that," he said impatiently, "Now hurry up, time's a wasting and I'm sure you'd love to get down there in time in order to set up your little surprise."
Lily shook her head and from where Sirius lay on the bed he was able to tell that she was fighting a smile. "You're such a little shit; I hate you."
"No you don't. I'm gorgeous and helping you shag your boyfriend. That's like, saint-like material right there."
"I'm leaving now."
"Fucking finally. Now I can get some rest," he teased, "Try and make sure he doesn't die of shock or something because of whatever you have planned for the poor sod."
"Goodbye Sirius."
"Don't forget what I told you about the silencing charms, Evans! You might need to give him a practical demonstration! He's that terrible!"
He was rewarded with a small stinging hex, though he could hear the sounds of her laughter drifting down the hall as she made her way down to the quidditch pitch.
