Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling does.

We're too young to be fighting a war.

We're too young to see our friends tortured and hurt.

We're too young to wonder if we'll live to see next year.

We're too young to be revolutionaries.

But age is just a number, and we aren't going to stop.

I know I won't, anyway.

I'll keep fighting to the end.

Not because it's easy - it isn't.

I'm doing this because it's right.

Voldemort - (so what if we can't say it, I can sure as hell think it!) - can't win.

He can't.

I know some people believe that the war's over.

Maybe it is.

Maybe we're fighting a losing battle.

We're just a bunch of kids, really.

I know some people believe that we can't do any good.

We're just Hogwarts students, honestly.

What good can we do?

I know some people want to just give up, keep their heads down, and make it through the year.

We're just living on the edge, seriously.

Maybe I should have been in "GRYFFINDOR".

I'm certainly acting it this year, anyway.

It's kind of funny - I've been so neutral and quiet in the past, not really picking a side.

Now I have.

I've chosen my path, and I'm not looking back.

Dumbledore's Army. The D.A.

Nothing will change my mind.

I'll be a part of the D.A. forever.

Even through my parents' letters - Please stay safe. Don't do anything rash.

Even through the Carrows' detentions - "CRUCIO!"

Even through the horrible stories I hear on Potterwatch - "More people have gone missing. More people have been killed."

It's my life now, the D.A.

Yeah, maybe we're just 'a bunch of kids'.

Maybe we're being foolish and risky and oh-so-Gryffindor.

But I wouldn't trade this for anything.

Because, in a way, this is where I belong.

I love the D.A..

I love the secret messages ("My Galleon's heating up!" "I know, mine too!").

I love the camaraderie among students who've never even met before. ("Hey, great Stunner!" "Thanks!" "So, what's your name?").

Yeah, there's a price to pay.

(screaming, flailing, writhing, oh, detention is so different now)

But nothing's free, really, isn't that right?

And maybe we are too young to be part of a war.

But we're too old to stand by when something isn't right.

Yes, it isn't explicitly mentioned who the D.A. member here is. I kept it vague on purpose, because I kind of wanted it to apply to almost anybody. And considering that I see the '97-'98 D.A. as including people who weren't in the first one, that could definitely apply to a lot of people. So, tell me - who do you think this is?
