The first time I saw her face, I was in love. I didn't think twice, I just walked over to her and said hello. She said hello back, and soon, we talking the night away. That night was the first time I didn't listen to the news of other leaders. We just kept whispering and telling each other about life in our clans.

Then, we kept meeting, every three nights. I loved her, she loved me. What could go wrong? Well…

I had a mate. His name was Spikenose. He was handsome, of course… but Streamflower, the one I was in love with, she was so much more. She was beautiful, smart, friendly, and witty. ...She was much more than Spikenose.

Now, you may be wondering about me, right? Well, my name is Fishshine. I am a RiverClan warrior, and a she-cat.

"Fishshine, you love a she-cat?!" You may be asking, and my answer is, well, yes I do. I can love who I want, can't I?

Anyways, I was going to meet Streamflower tonight. I'm thinking of moving to WindClan to be with her… I don't know if I should, however. I have a family here in RiverClan… friends, and Spikenose, I couldn't leave him behind, could I? Yet, I remember what an elder had told me when I was just a young kit who knew nothing about the world.

"Love holds no boundaries."

My feelings were conflicted. One part of me said it was true, while another said it wasn't. If it really held no boundaries, why couldn't I go to WindClan?

Deep down I knew the answer. It wasn't that I couldn't go, it was that I was too scared to.

The stars glistened in the once dark night sky. The crickets chirped in the shadows. The scent of rain was fresh in the air, and the ground was wet and muddy. It was cold, the wind blew harshly against me. I was going to see Streamflower again. My heart raced with excitement at the thought of seeing her. I knew it was only a three night wait, but even that was a long time for me.

Soon, I could smell the faint scent of WindClan in the distance. I quickened my pace, I was almost there! My body was numb, but that wouldn't stop me, nor did it ever. The WindClan scent was becoming stronger, and entangled with it, I could make out the scent of Streamflower. My Streamflower.

I broke into a run, and only stopped at the border. The speckled light grey she-cat was waiting for me.

"You came," she purred, in which I replied to with, "Obviously." I rolled my eyes in a teasing manner.

Streamflower nuzzled me, grinning. I could see the affection for me shining in her eyes, and I only hoped she could see the love in mine. I nuzzled her back, and she sat down. I copied her, and twirled my tail with her tail. We sat in silence for a few moments, my head on her shoulder, before Streamflower finally spoke.

"So," she began, "what's going on in RiverClan?"

"Nothing really," I replied, "Fernnose had kits."

"Oh!" Streamflower said in surprise. I knew she loved kits. "How many?"

"Two," I answered, "Oakkit and Aspenkit. They're so cute!"

Streamflower smiled, but her smile faltered when I asked her what was happening in WindClan.

"Nothing I know about," she told me nervously.

I could say I was surprised, but I wasn't. Blackstar shared almost nothing with his Clan unless it was five minutes before the thing was happening. "You think there's going to be a battle?"

She shook her head, and I let out the breath I didn't know I had been holding. However, her eyes flittered around nervously, but I just shook that off as fear of being caught.

"Do you think I could move to RiverClan?" she asked, looking somewhere into the distance.

"What about WindClan?" I asked, shocked, and Streamflower looked at me with pained eyes.

"They found out, Fishshine. I was exiled."
