Professor... Oak??

The group made their way towards the lab, having made it to Pallet Town the previous morning. Moving silently and unseen through the forests, the cloaked figures had found an abandoned house and had stayed there for the night. Having experienced [and accidentally slaughtered] some the land's rather interesting creatures, and decided upon joining the ranks as trainers.

"Ugh. It's too hot here..." Kisame shrugged off a bead of sweat, adjusting the sword on his shoulder to provide his eyes shade. Itachi barely gave him a glance, preferring to continue walking instead of provide sympathy. Pain was in the back, keeping an eye on everyone. Back at base, Konan, Zetsu, and Tobi were keeping things together while the others were doing research on this strange land. Deidara was in the lead with Sasori, looking around at the beautiful area's odd physique. Sasori looked ahead, not needing the second glance. Kakuzu was the same, focused and alert. Hidan was glaring at trees, prepared to complain on cue.

Sasori walked up to the lab first, after quickly advancing toward it over the hill. He held the door open, waiting as they all passed by... Deidara... Kakuzu... Hidan... Itachi... "Erhem." Pain cleared his throat at Kisame, who was basking in the large mill's gentle breeze. He quickly caught up again, rushing to get through the door before he had to answer to Pain.

"Oh, hello there!" Professor Oak grinned, his white coat and plain outfit greatly contrasted by the bizarre look of the Akatsuki members. "We would like to get these.... these....." Kakuzu was trying to think of the word for the odd beings found around here, "creatures." Professor Oak thought for a moment, "You mean pokemon?"

The group exchanged glances, as Pain walked up and took control of the situation. "Yes, pokemon," he walked up to the old man, "we request to obtain some of them for research purposes." Professor Oak laughed heartily, "Aww, you weird kids these days." He walked over to a round table, pressing a button as many pokeballs emerged rolling from slits. "Alright, I have the following: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, and Eevee. I have enough of each so that, if you wish, you all could have the same. Now, each are a different type and personality, so choose wisely." He smiled as he turned his back to the strangers.

Hidan looked at him like he was insane, "What the hell are these round things? This old guy is giving us multi-fucking-colored balls!" Deidara and Kisame laughed lightly, having said exactly what had been on their minds. Pain looked at him, "Good point. Elder; what are these devices?"

Professor Oak looked baffled, "Oh god! You act like you've never seen a pokeball before!" Deidara walked up now, "Alright old man," he opened his palms, letting a bomb emerge from the mouth and enter the air, flapping around the Professor's head, "explain now before I blow this place all to hell. Hmm!" Professor Oak's eyes grew large as he looked at the faces of all of the strange people. "Oh, you people are intriguing! I wonder if you're new pokemon! I mean look at this young man's hands!"

Ignoring the annoyed faces of the Akatsuki, he carried on. "Now, when you wish to let a pokemon out of its pokeball; you press this-" His finger hit the round button, and the pokeball released a red beam that quickly took form.
