What is that noise? I thought to myself as I slowly open my eyes to a bright sky, making me squint. I sit up and look around. A forest. I cover my ears at the same sound again. It was like a roar from the largest creature you could think of. I stand up and walk towards the sound as I see at the end of the forest there are men yelling t each other to back away or to run as something chases them. I ran out of the trees and nearly fell on my butt as a large black dragon with red eyes that could pierce your soul stares at me. I gulp as he opens his mouth but he shoots fire at the men instead of me. I blink, slightly confused.

"What is your name, child?" he asks.

"Ady" I say.

"And how old are you, Ady?" he asks.

"6" I say, gulping again as He moves closer.

"I see, were you abandoned in that forest?" He asks and I nod.

"Very unfortunate...well I believe it is time you come see your new home." He says.

"New home? What do you mean?" I ask.

"If I'm going to teach you, then you need a place to stay, right?" He says, turning around.

"Teach...me? Teach me what?" I ask.

"A long forgotten magic. You humans call it Dragon Slayer magic. This is what I'm going to teach you. However, the magic I posses may kill you for it is the reason I am the Dragon King." He says.

"What kind of magic do you posses?" I ask, walking closer.

"All Dragon slaying magic." He says, looking at me.

I gulp again as he motions for me to get on his back and I do as he lifts his wings and takes us into the sky where a portal was opened and we fly through. The other side was just the sky and many stair cases going to various lands on the ground. There was one that looked like a volcano and another like a land filled with tornadoes. And above all of them was a castle large enough for the dragon I was sitting on. All around the castle were more dragons flying around. I hide, feeling shy around the large beasts that fly beside us and talk to the Dragon King.

"There's no need to be shy, Ady. They won't hurt you." Dragon King says.

I sit up a bit more and look at the two dragons on our left and right. One was completely engulfed in flames and the other was a normal red dragon with a kid my age on his back. I nearly laughed because this kid had pink hair. I stifle my giggles but he notices.

"Hey! What're you laughing at?!" He says.

"Your pink hair!" I yell back and he growls.

"What's wrong with my pink hair!" He asks.

"It's...kinda cute." I say, making him blush and look the other way.

I chuckle, at least I have someone to tease while I'm here. We land and I jump off as does the other kid. He holds out his hand.

"I'm Natsu" He says.

I take his hand and shake it, "Ady" I say and the two dragons call us so we run to follow.

That day was the beginning of a great friendship between two of the yet-to-be greatest Dragon Slayers.

If only I had known what would happen in 12 years, I probably wouldn't have let Bahamut take me into his world.

Because that's when I found my long lost friend.
