A one-shot that was inspired by Curse by Imagine Dragons. Hope you guys like it. P.O.V of random mortal at the wrong place at the wrong time. :D Enjoy!
The sun was shining. Everything seemed ok. Like a normal day. That is, until I heard screams. I shot up and look towards the forest.
"LEAVE ME ALONE! IT NEVER MEANT A THING! I'M SORRY!"
A man walked at a leisurely pace towards her. She tripped, and started crawling back. And I, like a coward, hid.
"Ha! Your love to me didn't mean a THING?! How DARE you say that. My sacrifices, my pain, my LOVE? I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"
Tears streaming down her face, she whimpered.
"I'm sorry, I-I-I don't know…" she trailed off.
He knelt down so he was face to face with her. Holding a ring, an emerald at the top.
"This was supposed to be yours," he said softly, I could barely hear him,"I was going to propose, but you had to run off. Go become that son of Zeus's play thing. Don't you know what you've done to me. Break my curse sweetheart. Let me go. I went off to prove myself to Athena. Did you know that?"
She violently shook her head. Eyes rimmed red.
"Cuz I won't be taking your shit any longer. You may have thought me an idiot, now I know exactly why. Leave me the frick alone, and I can guarantee you a spot on my list of who to murder. You're my last visit anyway, now that the majority of Olympians have banished me anyways. I'll be taking my leave."
"NO!" she shot her hand out,"TAKE ME WITH YOU! Please Percy?!"
He laughed.
Who was this man? Why was he doing this. Who was he talking about, Athena, the Olympians?
"One last thing for you to know. Your own mother hates you Annabeth. You want to know the final vote? You want to know who thought I was innocent. Hestia of course, but she didn't count in Zeus's eyes. My father, but that was expected. Hera, who you deluded me into hating, all she had been doing from the beginning was protecting me from you! Hades had, but he didn't count either. You want to know why? No of course not. Lastly, your mother. Athena, of all people. That measly son of Zeus and YOU! YOU TWO HAVE RUINED ME!"
The waves on the beach had started reacting to the man's anger.
"It was obvious that Apollo and Artemis had been blackmailed, although I won't tell you how I know, as you'd probably go tattle on them like the child you are. So had Persephone, as well as Hephaestus. So when I come back. When I come back to ruin you. When it's your turn. Know that your savior has become your enemy."
