4 Words (To Choke Upon)

I don't own 4 Words (To Choke Upon) It belongs to Bullet For My Valentine. Nor do I own Naruto. So don't send lawyers after me. I don't really like SasuSaku so this is an unrequited love fic. This is not a songfic. The name is just because it fits very nicely with the story

It had been a year since Sasuke had returned to Konoha. And Sakura, no matter how much she pretended that she wasn't, still loved him. But she hadn't told him that for a year. She let him think that she was over him. She even dated Naruto for a while. But she broke up with him. No matter how much she valued Naruto as a friend, he would never be able to take the place of her beloved Sasuke-kun.

And now she'd plucked up the courage to ask him out. Why not? After all, recently he'd been nice to her. Well, maybe not nice, less cold were more the words she was looking for. But still, that stood for something, didn't it? He'd even saved her on a recent mission.

So that was how she found herself walking to Sasuke's house, flowers from Ino's shop in her hand. (Of course, she hadn't told Ino that she was going to give them to Sasuke. She'd told her that she was giving them to Lee) As soon as she arrived at Sasuke's house she saw him. Sasuke smirked at her and then gestured for her to come in. Well, so far, so good. Sasuke seemed in a good mood. And why shouldn't he accept her offer. She'd become far stronger and she didn't cry anymore...well not as much. In fact, nobody seemed to be calling her a burden these days (although that was only because she'd punch them if she heard them say it). Sasuke was almost sure to accept.

'So...why are you here?' asked Sasuke. Sakura gave him her huge, hopeful eyes. Sasuke looked annoyed. 'I don't have all day you know...' Sakura swallowed her doubt. Before she could regain it she told Sasuke why she was there with no beating about the bush.

'Because...I really like you Sasuke-kun. Yes, I still do. I always have even though I was going out with Naruto. But it was secretly you all the time. I just want you to like me like I like you. And there has been a change in your behaviour so I thought...' her voice trailed off as Sasuke held up a hand for her to stop.

'Sorry, Sakura' he sighed 'But that can't happen. I don't like you like that. And I don't think I ever will.' He turned away and opened the door for her to leave. As he turned back to her she grabbed his neck, pulling him towards her and kissed him. She kissed him desperately in the hope that she could put all her feeling s into the kiss. And for a second she thought that she still had a chance. That hope was short-lived though as he pulled away. The expression on his face was unreadable. He leaned in close to her and she could smell him easily. Once again her heart soared but then he said those four words. The four words to choke upon.

'I don't love you.' He murmured softly in her ear then pulled away completely. They stood for a few seconds, just looking at each other and then Sakura turned and hurried away. As she walked away from his house, she let the tears that she hadn't allowed to fall go. And there was nothing she could do to stop her dream crashing down around her.

Owari

Well, I think we've already sussed that I don't like Sakura very much.

Please review. It would make my day but please no flaming. This is my first attempt at a romance fic and it was with a couple I hate desperately so that's why there was no actual romance in it.
