A/N I've been wondering for a while now … what is Smith's full name. All we get is C. T. Smith, although Falzen seemed to know who he was, he died before he could spill. If anyone actually knows, I'm really curious. Otherwise, since it seems no one else has addressed this issue as of yet, here is my theory. Disclaimer at end.

~ What's in a Name? ~

There was a mystery about C. T. Smith. Actually there were quite a few mysteries about him, such as, why he always wore a suit and tie, or, what the Hell he actually did in his free time (refer to the end of Vol. 3, "A Day in the Life"), but there was one mystery in particular that was bothering his companions.

"Gamma?"

"Mm?"

"What's Smith's actual name?"

Gamma looked up from the bounty fliers he was looking through.

"Dunno. He won't say."

"HE'S YOUR PARTNER!!! HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW?!?"

Gamma stuck a finger in his ear before answering.

"Well why don't you just try asking him yourself?"

"Fine! I will!"

And with that, Elwood stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

Only to walk back in a moment later, with a lump on his head where the hilt (A/N dunno what it's actually called … I'm an Aussie for crying out loud cut me some slack!) of Smith's gun may or may not have connected with it.

"He wouldn't say."

"Told you."

Later that day, Smith and Elwood went shopping for supplies as Gamma had, once again, disappeared.

"I'm telling you, Smith, we should ask someone for directions!"

"Oh no, I'm sure it's this way. I'm telling you, I can feel it in my bones."

"Fine! If you won't ask for directions then I will," raged Elwood, and walked up to a couple of girls who seemed deep in conversation.

"I'm telling you Beni, it's high time those guys learned to go shopping for themselves! They always shove it on us, but seriously how hard is it to pick up some groceries?"

"Yes, and I'm telling you Peta. I agree entirely, but those two are absolutely –"

"Excuse me."

The girls broke off their conversation, turning to face the young teen who was talking to them.

"Can you tell me where the grocery store is? My friend and I got lost," he told them gesturing toward Smith.

"Sure. We were just –"

"OH MY GOD, IT'S CO!!!" interrupted the other girl, 'Peta', pointing straight at Smith.

Smith turned to look at who was screaming at him before turning pale and trying to make a quick getaway.

He didn't get far.

"Where have you been? What have you been doing? I've missed you SO much. Do you know how worried we've been? We've looked everywhere for you. You couldn't even send your little sister a letter so I at least knew you were still alive?"

"Peta, you're choking him."

And indeed both siblings were blue in the face. One because she had said to much too quickly without bothering to stop for breath and the other because the former had him in what was meant to be a hug, but ended up as more of a strangle hold.

As Peta reluctantly released her older brother, something clicked into place inside Elwood's head.

"Wait. You're Smith's sister?"

"Ya huh. Peta. Nice to meet you. And this is my cousin Beni."

"Yo."

"E-Elwood."

"Great. Now let's get going."

"Going? Going where?"

"Shopping of course!" was the reply as Beni led them in the opposite direction from where Smith had wanted to go.

"Yeah sure you can feel it in your bones."

They arrived outside the store only to be greeted with a massive brawl between three men. One Gamma Akutabi, as well as a couple of men in their mid to late twenties, one with red hair and the other with black.

"Gamma! What're you –"

"Mo! Flo! Quit messing around and see who I've found!!"

The two men facing Gamma, 'Mo' and 'Flo', turned to face the ever-shouting Peta, making a fatal mistake in the process. They left themselves open to an attack from behind curtesy of Gamma, who had immediately taken advantage of the others' distraction to try and … uh … disect them.

Luckily for Mo and Flo, Gamma never got that far, as, even though his targets had not moved, he had been disarmed and immobilized a moment later.

From Elwood's point of view, one second, Gamma was standing behind his opponents with his sword posed to decapitate them, and the next … well … Gamma hadn't moved, but suddenly Smith was standing between Gamma's two chosen victims with his gun at Gamma's head, Peta had somehow materialized on Gamma's shoulders with a knife at his throat and his sword had mysteriously disappeared. Until Elwood looked to see why Beni hadn't moved as well that is. Turns out she had moved … and taken Gamma's sword while she was at it.

"Well, that wasn't very nice now, was it? I do hope you realize the only reason you're not DEAD right now is that Elwood seems to know you. So, promise to play nice?"

"Smith, what the Hell are you doing?"

"Well, I couldn't –"

"CO!!!" and Smith was engulfed in a hug from the men on either side of him.

"– let you kill my brothers now, could I?"

"BROTHERS?!"

"Triplets."

"EH?!"

Smith smiled. "Of course. For we are –"

"FLO, MO & CO THE TERRIFYING TRIPLETS OF THE –" *

"– SMITH FAMILY ASSASSINS!!!" ** (A/N *said by Flo, Mo and Smith. **said by triplets plus Beni and Peta)

"A-a-a …"

"Come on, let's go shopping! And don't think you're getting out of it you two."

*****

It was an … interesting experience to say the least, shopping with not only a sandy-haired Smith but also a copper-haired one and one with hair the colour of charcoal. Especially since, when thrown in with the rest of his family, Smith became as hyper as the rest. Beni alone seemed semi-normal, so, she was of course the logical choice.

Elwood waited until they had left the store before turning to Beni to ask the ultimate question.

"So, Beni," unfortunately, he had forgotten to ask away from the others, so of course everyone was listening in. 'Oops. Ah well, might as well go for it.'

"Oh ho! Making a move are you El?" Gamma, of course. Elwood could feel the glares of four Smiths on the back of his head, daring him to finish his question, but he plunged straight in anyway.

"No. I was just wondering if she'd tell me Smith's real name."

Silence, then –

"Hahahahahah! Yeah, sure I'll tell you!" Peta laughed, "Flo, Mo and Co are short for – mrph"

For some strange reason the triplets had smothered their darling younger sister before she could complete her sentence. Luckily for Elwood, she didn't need to.

"Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton Tail," Beni finished for her.

A/N If you noticed and if you didn't, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail are Peter Rabbits older sisters (and I think they're triplets) and Benjamin Bunny is his cousin, so I basically just switched their genders and shortened their names. You can see why Smith wouldn't want anyone to know his real name, right?

Disclaimer: Zombie Powder is owned by Tite Kubo and Peter Rabbit belongs to Beatrice Potter. I do, however, have a stuffed bunny named Benny from when I was like three.
