Rex Typhoon
Background:
Rex is the son of Mako & Thalassa Typhoon. Rex's mother passed away when he was just an infant so Rex never knew what she really looked like, but his father would described her as beautiful as the ocean. Mako Rex's father is a famous pirate captain known to be a fairly good person and huntsman, his occupation was transporting cargo good's that can only shipped by sea and as well as passengers. Mako graduated fro m the huntsman academy Beacon many years ago, and when he started his privateer business he recruited huntsman and sailors to help defend the ship from grimm at sea, and has been doing this all of Rex's life and a bit longer, this gave Mako a good rep as a pirate captain.
As Rex got old enough his father taught him how to fight and move on a ship, which made Rex a swift and strong fighter. Over the years of Rex's training he discovered his father was a huntsman, and also from some of Mako's old friends that his father's was strong and for it gave him the nickname was "Anchor" not only for his weapon but his strength and determination for helping those in need, and with his never give up attitude. Eventually during Rex's training he discovered his semblance which is passed down by his father, but with a twist were as his father used his with strength, Rex used his for swiftness. By the time Rex was old enough he made his weapon, a 6ft long greatsword and sheath which can turn into a cannon of the same size, which was inspired by his father. And when the time came Rex dawned an appearance to his idoil, his father. His father gave him before leaving is necklace with a shark tooth that his father collected and was also locket with a picture of Mako and Rex as a small child. After saying goodbye and taking the necklace and headed for Beacon Academy.
Finally arriving at Beacon Rex joined the academy, and went through the test for joining teams. At the end of the test he was assigned to Team CORL. Not to long into the year and Rex has made a name for himself in the sparring room and on a mission. As the days at the academy pass on by Rex has been to the Beacon's formal dance, and has participated in the Vytal festival. were his team made it to the final round but never got to fight due to the attack on Beacon. After the attack he met up with his father in Vale to explain what happened, and that he is alright, and what he is going to do. Mako seeing the look in his eyes and said "I will always be here and I support your decision, now go."
Mako then rejoined his team and the went off to help those in need...
