He wrote down all the features of all the people in his small team. He was focusng on Ariadne at the moment since she was the one he knew littlest about. He drifted off into the farthest corners of his mind.

His brother, Andrew giggled at his dinner from his high chair while his mum's wide eyes searched for any signs of his father exploding. It would happen anyway, he knew, because it happened every night. Although his mother tried to hide any traces of it with layers of concealer and foundation. Wolfing down his food like a starved man his father didn't pay any attention to his family, although he never did. He was to engrossed in everything that didn't involve them. Gambling, prostitution, drinking heavily, anything illegal or strongly prohibited. His mother was pregnant and he hadn't even noticed or cared if he did. Arthur sat there, absorbing all the information. He loved researching and information that no one else knew, he wondered if his hobby would have any part in his future life. As Arthur pondered this none of his family knew that outside the vultures were circling. As his unhappy family finished their evening meal there was a loud gunshot and…"This Ariadne would be a kick" Arthur flailed as soon as he felt he was falling stamping his feet down on the floor to stable himself. He shot a glare at Eames and heard him vaguely mutter "If looks could kill…" Ariadne chuckled softly, he could listen to her voice all day, it was soft and enveloping like a mothers hug. Actually wrong metaphor for him as he never had a mothers hug."Its that feeling of falling you get that jolts you awake, snaps you out of the dream" Arthur stopped looking longingly at Ariadne and suddenly thought of something. "Are we going to feel a kick with this sort of sedation?" Yusuf explained some more as Arthur drifted off into Autopilot, becoming the robot stick in the mud that Eames constantly said he was. It didn't matter if Eames said it or not it was if Ariadne believed it or not. "Arthur?" He felt a small warm hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" Arthur shook himself out of his stupor and responded with a plain answer "Yeah fine"

"You seemed a little distant back there"

"No just concentrating"

"Okay, well I'm leaving now"

"Oh, Bye"

He stood up intending to give her a hug but at the last minute reached out one of his hands instead. She looked a little puzzled but shook his hand anyway with a feather like grip

"Well goodnight Arthur"

She turned on her heel and walked out of the warehouse with a sway in her hips.

"Am I not important enough Ari?"

She turned her softly angular face to Arthurs left and walked towards Eames desk

"Goodnight Eames"

"Night darling"

He stood up and wrapped his arms around her tiny waist and gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek. Hs fists clenched until the knuckles became white with pressure.

"Gong out for a drink later?" Eames asked. Ariadne raised her delicate eyebrows and tilted her head as if in thought

"Yeah that would be great"

"Great meet you outside here in say an hour"

"Two hours"

"May I ask why darling"

"Well need time to get ready don't . Some people can't just throw on a shirt and trousers and look fabulous…"darling"

"Well I will love to see how you clean up Ari "

"Oh I assure you I clean up pretty well Eames"

And with that comment she whipped her head and swaggered out of the warehouse.
