The sun beat down as we hurried through the crowded walkways. The loud noises filled the air and the smell of carnival food ambushed me. My brother and I hurried to find the perfect ride to go on first. Disneyland was where all dreams come true right? Well right now my dream was to ride the Matterhorn- except we couldn't find it. We were in Fantasyland and had gotten lost, it wasn't a big deal, we could get a map at any time, but we were pretending to take the scenic route. Several Disney characters marched by and I smiled delightedly like a kid in a candy store. I told my brother, Kay, to get a picture of me with Belle. I couldn't believe I was just as tall as most of them, I guess being 18 in Disneyland was kind of depressing. She was as sweet as any princess could be and we continued our way along the brick road. We passed by a large, ornate pirate ship, with sails stretching up to the sky and canons ready to fire. I sighed, "we passed that before."

"So? I see a crowd over there- let's go check it out," Kay pointed out. I followed defeated and watched the children crowd around a tree stump. They cheered wildly and a sole voice erupted from the centre.

"and THEN The Captain stole my sword! I quickly flew out of the way and dodged his ghastly hook!" The children gasped. A smile erupted on my face as I stood next to the parents watching their kids at the back of the crowd. His head popped up just as he was finishing his story. His eyes swept over the crowd for dramatic effect- and met mine. He paused briefly and stared- his eyes were so blue! My heart stopped and the smile I had suddenly made my cheeks burn. He snapped back in half a second and finished- "but then i tripped him and over the side he went! He swam to shore but the lost boys and I got to save Tink."

Kay stood next to me. "Hm... Cute story, I can see why all the kids love him." I just made a muffled murmur. I turned to leave before I noticed him stand up. He was about my height- I guess they had to make him look like a kid to actually be Peter Pan, but he was my age if not older. I watched the ground briefly before looking back up to meet his eyes. I instantly got an idea. "Kay get my picture with him."

"What? Seriously? Okay..." We walked over as he waved to another kid.

"Well hello Peter." A smile erupted on his face.

"G'day dahling," his fake accent made me erupt a smile.

"I was wondering if you'd be so keen if I were to get a photo with you?" I gestured to Kay with the camera. He smiled and nodded.

"Seems I have a fan."

"Of course," I stepped next to him and posed, trying not to make the situation awkward. He wrapped his arm around my waist unexpectedly but I didn't make any sign that I had noticed. We smiled at Kay and then he looked at the picture.

"Alright, thank you Mr. Pan," Kay chuckled and walked down the road. Pan smiled back then turned to me.

"Wendy... I told you not to come to Neverland again." He whispered in my ear.

I decided to play along- "remind me why that is again Peter?" I said in the best British accent I could manage. He broke out in a smile at our little acting game.

"Hook might get you, and then I'd have to rescue you again. It's too dangerous," is that a sly smile on his lips? I smirked.

"Nothing like a little danger." I turned and gave him a little curtsy with the hem of my t-shirt. He smiled and reached for my hand. "I wouldn't get too caught up in it- the world is a scary place." He picked up my hand and lightly kissed the back of it. "Don't stay too long."

"Why? Then I won't get to see you again." I chuckled.

"You want to see me again?" Peter asked in almost a fake astonishment. I laughed and stared at his blue eyes briefly. He must have taken my silence as a yes.

"And if I'm oh so far away in England, wherever shall we meet?"

We watched each other, standing closer than I had intended. He leaned down and whispered into my ear.

"Second star to the right and straight on till morning."
