A/N: So Ventress gets ahold of poor Obi, the Jedi then think he's dead and Anakin knows Obi-Wan is still alive. Somehow. Yadda yadda yadda. I really need to research this more. May do a companion or make this into multi, don't know and at the moment I can't really bring myself to care. Note to Self: Stop doing this at 4am.
You're not dead!
"Death is a natural part of life." Says Master Yoda. "Rejoice for those that become one with the force. Mourn them, do not. Miss them, do not."
What does the little green troll know about anything?
Obi-Wan Kenobi is not dead! Obi-Wan is just missing. He can't be dead!
Normally when someone close to him is going to die, he dreams.
Nightmares.
The nightmares of his mother showed pain and suffering. A reflection on her imprisonment by the sandmen. The Tusken Raiders which he brutally slaughtered.
There were no dreams about Obi-Wan.
"Padawan Skywalker?" Windu looks at him, with what seems to be concern in his eyes (Which is impossible isn't it?).
"I respectfully ask that I be released back to my master's quarters."
"Request granted. But he's gone Skywalker. You must accept it."
"I will, when I know he is. Master Windu."
That night Anakin doesn't sleep in his own bed. Instead he curls up in Obi-Wan's bed. Relishing in Obi-Wan's scent.
"I will come and find you Obi-Wan. I promise you."
Far away on Jabiim, Obi-Wan lifted his head wearily. Despite the force-suppressors, he felt it for the first time in months. Anakin would come for him, of that he could be sure.
