Yuzu has a secret. No, it isn't that she can see ghosts, her family already knows about that. This is a secret from everybody. Even Karin doesn't know, especially Karin.

Yuzu is in love. "That's not a big deal," Ichigo would say. Or "Masaki! Our daughter is growing up! I'm so proud of her," Isshin woud say. But if he knew who she was in love with, he wouldn't be proud. Because Yuzu is in love with Karin. And Karin just happens to be her twin sister. Her family already knows that Yuzu doesn't particularly go for boys. But she can't even begin to imagine if they found out that she was in love with her sister.

Yuzu can't remeber when she started loving Karin. She supposes that she always did. Karin has always been there.

When Yuzu was five, she fell off the swing and scraped her knee. Karin wiped her tears and told her not to cry. They had held hands on the way home and when they got there, Karin put a band-aid on the scrape. Yuzu smiled because everything was better.

Yuzu hated thunder. It scared her to death. And during thunder storms, Karin would lift the sheets, inviting the trembling Yuzu into her bed. And comfortingly, as a sister would normally do, Karin hugged her sister.

Yuzu woke with a muffled scream. They haunted her nightmares, still. Karin sat up and asked, "Did you have another nightmare?" Yuzu nodded, her petite form still shaking. Karin peeled down the covers, as usual. And the girl silently climbed next to Karin.

Yuzu didn't know why she put herself in these situations. She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep with the girl she loved laying next to her, breathing on her neck.

"Yuzu, we're sixteen now, you should try staying in your own bed," Karin replied, her hot breath on Yuzu's ear. Yuzu was expecting something like this, but the words stung all the same.

"Karin... I..." Yuzu didn't know what to say.

"Shuush," Karin replies. And they drift back into silence. Because Yuzu doesn't know that Karin loves her too.
