Hola:D This is just a short one-shot that I thought of while listening to Carrie Underwoods Whenever You Remember. Sorry for any grammer mistakes, and I don't own Degrassi blah blah blah all that jazz. Well, I hope you enjoy.
Eli and Clare sat hand and hand on a maroon colored couch. Their Degrassi days had been slowly fading into the background, seeing as how they were both now twenty four and had a two year old daughter. They decided to name her Gracie after their best friend Adam Torres, who now lived in New York with Fiona Coyne. Gracie had short raven colored hair like her father and bright blue eyes like her mother. Clare had gotten a job as a publisher and her business was growing while Eli followed in his dad's footsteps getting a job at a local radio station. These years only seemed to make them fall more and more in love.
Eli reluctantly got up from their little break to go finish cleaning out the basement. They were almost done, only needing to go through two more boxes. He reached over to the one labeled "Clare". He pulled out a scrapbook that had Degrassi written on it in dark blue letters.
"Clare, really? You scrapbooked your high school years?" Eli asked with his signature smirk plastered on his face.
"You bet Goldsworthy. I didn't want to forget anything," she coolly replied. Eli flipped to the first page. A piece of plaid and a picture of K.C. Guthrie adorned the page.
"Care to explain what this is about?" He questioned, wondering what K.C. had to do with Clare's high school memories.
"Well, back in ninth grade I voluntarily wore a catholic school uniform, and K.C. was my first boyfriend, and before you ask we broke up because he cheated on me with Jenna."
"Oh well if he didn't then you wouldn't be with yours truly," he smugly replied, opening up to the next page. A picture of Ali holding up a purple vibrator was on one page, and a piece of glass was on the other.
"One, why the hell does Ali have a vibrator? And why waste a whole page on a piece of broken glass?"
"Oh god. Okay, we were at principle Simpsons house working on a project with Conner when Ali thought it would be fun to go see what a teachers room looks like, and we found that. Mr. Simpsons wife walked in on us, and Ali being Ali shoved it in my backpack only for it to go off the next day in the middle of class," a small blush started creeping up her face.
"So you didn't use it?" he asked clearly amused. Eli loved to get under Clare's skin any way possible.
"NO," she yelled throwing a pillow at him.
"You didn't answer my second question," he stated after dodging the flying pillow.
"That was the best memory I have..." her voice slowly trailed off as she remembered what happened that day.
Ali and Clare had been fighting over her glasses, because Clare had just gotten laser eye surgery, and she was contemplating just to go back to the old her. While they were fighting Ali somehow managed to send her glasses flying into the street. That's when a black hearse came and ran over them. Eli Goldsworthy stepped out of the car and handed the glasses back to Clare. He complemented her eyes before driving off.
"That was a very good day my love," he said going over lying next to his wife with the book still in hand. They spent the rest of the night going through the old scrapbook. They talked about things from their first date to their graduation. It was moments like these where they knew they were meant to be together.
