It was the 7:30 show the final show of the tour …, the crowd was ecstatic! One of their more "noisy" audiences they have experienced so far. The previous performers Damon wanted to showcase new and upcoming talents on this tour had already left the stage and people were still on their feet, screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs… Suddenly the bright lights dimmed, and two shadows appeared on opposite sides. One with a very tall and lean frame without a guitar which surprised some of the audience , the other with a short, petite frame. The audience knew what was coming…
They all just stopped. Completely silent. The only noise you could hear was the short breaths of the audience.
They all slowly lowered into their seats, and sat down, eyes never leaving the stage. This was going to be a performance they wouldn't want to miss.
It was happening. The music cued for a new duet they wrote together , the audience stiffened, and it began. Emily was wearing her costume from her mother/daughter fashion show Damon asked her to wear it for this number . Their singing together was beautiful the harmonizing was great. They danced a slow waltz flawlessly across the stage singing from their heart to each other, they moved as one body. It was so intimate. You felt as though you shouldn't be watching. They never broke eye contact, eyes glued to each other. You could feel the emotion between them with every touch, every move, and every breath. They truly only danced and sang for each other, not the audience, not their family, no producers, just for them.
The music came to an end It was seemed as though it was over within the blink of an eye. The audience was dead silent; you could feel a moment that was happening between Emily and Damon
The ending pose. Damon on his knees, embracing Emily. Emily is on her feet leaning into Damon embrace. This time around Emily's back is to the audience, Damon back to the curtains.
Finally, the audience broke. Their screams for them were crazy. They were moonstruck. People were jumping, screaming, some even crying.
Bye the time the audience had settled back into their seats, Damon and Emily were still center of the stage, still in their end pose. Emily had then leaned back up, and let go of Damon.
Damon remained on both his knees…
