A/N: The usual - I was digging around in my good old stuff at the back of my computer while shifting through files and found this ancient thing. I thought "hey, I could put this on fanfic!" but I decided that maybe it's best kept away from my other account for the moment in fear of getting over-crowded. So I just scooped it up and away I go...
Is that really how it happened?
Is that really how it happened?
All those weary years ago,
In that land isolated and barren,
Full of freezing ice and snow,
Did I really stand upon that deck?
Ignorant, proud to be aboard,
Feeling high and oh-so mighty,
Like nimble lady, striking lord,
Should I have been more wary?
Not sucked up all those lies,
The ship that never sinks,
Well, you'd be surprised,
Did it seem such a panic?
How did we all fare,
Loss of loved ones and possessions,
No sense of anything here or there,
Were the boats all the scarce?
So hard to come across,
Like hunted tiger or dodo,
Taken by us but our loss,
Did it really sink so easily?
Just tip and plunge right in,
The screams of people screeching out,
The poor praying for their sins,
Was the water all that freezing?
So that it stole so much life,
Plunged upon its poor victims,
Like an unstoppable slicing knife,
Would I have done any different?
Not sat around to drink and dance,
I really need no time to think,
No. Not a chance.
