The Girl Who Waited-

When she had first came to the orphanage, she isolated herself from other people. She didn't want to get close, in case she was hurt again. Eventually she became an outcast, a loner.

That's why she was surprised when she first met him. Nobody talked to her, because everyone was convinced she was a loony.

"Hey there girly, what'cha doing out here alone?"

The first thing to grab her attention about him was his hair. It was blond at the front, but black at the back. He was wearing a black type-suit and wearing black glasses. He had the oddest eyes she had ever seen, a yellow-green.

But the oddest thing about him, was the fact he was sitting on a lawnmower.

"Just thinking," was her reply before she asked a question herself, "why are you sitting on a lawnmower?"

He smiled. "This lawnmower isn't a normal lawnmower."

Now she was interested. It was no secret that she loved strange and supernatural things and this guy screamed both.

"How isn't it?" she asked, her five year old mind working overdrive on what it could be.

"I can't tell you."

She pouted and he chuckled, finding it adorable.

"Why can't you tell me?" She asked him.

"Because it's a secret." He smiled.

His smile was contagious because she ended up smiling too, which she rarely did.

He glanced down at his watch, which she just noticed, and grimaced.

"I'm going to be late." He muttered, sighing in boredom. He looked at the little girl and smiled again. He didn't know why, but she was just adorable!

"Maybe I'll see you around." he offered, beginning to walk away.

"I'll be waiting!" she yelled after him, until he had disappeared from her sight.

The next time they met, she was nine. She had already got the nickname 'Loony Luna' but didn't mind, as long as people left her alone she was all right.

He had walked through her window, startling her out of her thoughts. At first, she thought he was a hallucination but soon it sank in that he was there.

During the past three years, since she last saw him, she had dreamed of seeing him. You could say it became a pass time for her.

"Wow, you've grown." He commented, lying on her bed.

"Of course I have, it's been three years." She said, idly playing with her hair.

It's silent, she staring at him while he was lost in thought.

"Where did you go."

"Work."

It's simple and easy, but more complicated then it seemed.

He smiles at her lazily before looking at the clock and silently cursing.

"I have to go, it seems they're not making it easy for me."

He's about to climb out the window when she grabs him.

"My name is Luna, what's yours?" She's been dying to know the answer.

He smiled, not seeing the harm of telling her; "It's Ronald Knox."

And then he was gone, only leaving a name. And she waited, hoping that he would come back one day.

Because she had accidentally left her heart with him. She may have been young, but one was never to young to fall in love.

Luna smiled as a slight breeze blew through her hair. Looking ahead she watched at Ryu tried to get Alice to pay attention to him, as she was too busy yelling at her friend.

It was days like this that made it worth continuing on with life. The road may be rocky but she was all for an interesting journey.

What she didn't know was the pair of yellow-green eyes watching her, and only her.

Ronald Knox smiled, seeing Luna smile for real was beautiful, she had given up a long time ago.

It was forbidden to feel what he was feeling for her but after seeing Grell go all condo, he decided to as well.

After all, this isn't the first time he watched the girl, his girl.

The girl who waited for him to return.

There you are, short and sweet but I'm not really good at romance.
