Title: Brand New Day
Author: Duck
Genre: Romance, Angst
Rating: PG-13. It's a little sexually suggestive. No graphic scenes.
Summary: Will gets a little surprise. If you love Will, you may want to refrain from reading this. Please don't attack me. It's cool if you like Will, but please do not insult Vaughn. He didn't do anything to you
The house was exceptionally quiet as Will let himself in. He knew Francie was at her restaurant and he wanted to surprise Sydney with breakfast. SD-6 was finally gone. He wasn't a high enough rank to know the details, but Weiss had been talking loudly to Vaughn.
Sydney was finally free. She could finish grad school. But the most important fact was that she wouldn't be seeing Agent Vaughn anymore. The counter-missions would end. He knew that she would not continue to work at the CIA. She had told him that. Sydney wanted a normal life.
One without a certain Agent Vaughn.
He had seen how much Vaughn cared for her. He knew that if he was going to be with Sydney, Vaughn had to be totally out of the picture. There was only one uncertainty.
He didn't know how Sydney felt about Vaughn. She hid her feelings so well.
He tiptoed across the wooden floors, because if he made the slightest noise Sydney would wake up. She was good at what she did. He knew there was no way he could cook and surprise her. He would wake her up and then cook. The waking up was the hardest part.
The door was slightly ajar. He gently pushed it open. What he saw made him stop dead.
Sydney and Michael Vaughn were sleeping with their arms and legs entwined. Neither of them was wearing much clothing.
Will felt anger boil inside of him. That should be him. He should be wrapped in Sydney's embrace. It took all of his control not to grab a kitchen knife and start hacking at Vaughn. This man was stealing everything he had ever wanted.
Sydney Bristow.
He knew that if he didn't leave he would do something to lose Sydney. So he left, walking normally on the wooden floors. All of his hopes were destroyed by one small man.

The sun's rays shone into Sydney's eyes, bringing her back to consciousness. She slowly became aware that someone's arms were tangled with her own. She opened her eyes and looked into the features of Michael Vaughn. He was still asleep.
A truth dawned in Sydney's mind. She had slept with Vaughn. Everything came back to her, making her smile. Last night had been perfect. She shifted slightly, trying to look at Vaughn more closely. Her movements caused him to wake up. He looked at her, slightly confused.
"Sydney?" His memory returned as soon as he said her name. A smile crept over his face. They both hugged each other tighter.
Vaughn had something to say to her that couldn't wait. English had been erased from his mind.
"Je t'aime."
Sydney smiled in response. He didn't even realize he had spoken in French.
"I love you too."
Light had been slowly flooding the room, giving everything a warm feeling. For the first time in years Sydney Bristow was completely happy.
It was a brand new day.
AN: I thought this up while trying to write for my other story. Can't get enough of that Will jealousy. Review and tell me what you think! *Duck
