Sword fighting had a sort of art to it, and both Prussia and Lithuania were fairly well educated in it. They had met in battle dozens of times, and had their own sort of "practice" with each other (mostly attempting to bring the other into submission after an argument). Both of them had practically memorized the other's technique down to the footing and subtle body language. Lithuania knew when Prussia made that trademark sneering grin that he was about to lunge forwards. Prussia always could tell when Lithuania was going to strike when he'd take only a few steps back, usually starting with the right foot. So many years of going back and forth had made them accustomed to each other's fighting style. Perhaps too accustomed.
The fight they had today was brought on by a few mutual insults thrown between the two, both of them unable to recall who started first, but blamed the other regardless. The fight started as normal, insults became more and more intense, and tension built up. Finally, both snapped and steel clashed again and again, ringing through the courtyard as it had done countless times before. The sound always drew Poland to the window, hoping that he'd be able to catch some entertainment from their fights.
However, after memorizing fighting so many times, it had actually become⦠simply put, it was boring now. The fights would always end at a standstill, and continuing as normal would only logically reach the same conclusion. Lithuania had to think of a way to knock Prussia down a few steps, to change up the game. The first idea might have been one he'd regret, but he continued to go through with it. He threw his sword to the ground, and tackled Prussia over. Prussia was shocked, and toppled over from the force of Lithuania's shove. Soon, Lithuania was over Prussia, holding him by the fabric of his tunic. He closed his eyes and braced for the impact of his fist.
What happened next shocked Poland who was watching from afar, as Lithuania's hands never reached up even smack him. He had to admit that Prussia's face was hilarious as Lithuania crashed his lips to his and how the struggle that was dueled out with swords was transferred to a fight for dominance with lips and tongues in the middle of the courtyard.
The only thing won from the fight was an awkward avoidance of each other that lasted for nearly a week. And the relentless questioning by Poland for around a month.
