Just a little thing I thought of.

"Mum! Mum Mum Mum Mum Mum Mum Mum!"

"Hugo, shut up!"

"No! Mum!"

Hermione sighed. She had been in her office looking over some papers for work when she heard her children running down the stairs at full speed.

Hugo burst into her office with Rose at his heels.

"Mum!" he panted, out of breath from running down the stairs. "Rose just told me that you went to the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum! Krum! The legendary Quidditch Seeker!"

Hermione raised an eyebrow at her daughter, who in turn blushed furiously, making her ears go red, exactly like her father.

"It slipped out," Rose mumbled, attempting to blend into the shadows.

Hermione sighed, and motioned towards her son. "Come sit in mum's lap, Hugh," Hermione patted her lap.

"Mum, I'm eight years old!" Hugo protested. "I'm not going to sit in my mum's lap!"

Hermione tried to not let the words get to her. It was hard to get used to the fact that her children were growing up. Pretty soon, they would be off to Hogwarts.

"Please, Hugh?" Hermione pleaded.

Hugo rolled his eyes but reluctantly climbed into his mother's lap. He would always have a soft spot for his mum.

"Okay," Hermione beamed at her children, putting an arm around Hugo. "Now, what were you asking me, Hugo?"

"Is it true that you went to the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum?" Hugo demanded.

"Yes, it is true," Hermione said wearily. "But it was only one date."

"Did you kiss him?" Hugo asked, with a slightly disgusted look on his face.

"It doesn't matter," Hermione said firmly, "because that was just in the past. Now, I'm married to one of the most respected Aurors in the wizarding world, and I'm perfectly happy, because he gave me two wonderful children, one who needs to keep her mouth shut around her little brother-" Rose blushed even more- "and one who needs to keep his freckled little nose out of his parent's business." Hugo shifted slightly in his mother's lap.

"Sorry, mum," they both said.

"It's alright," Hermione kissed Hugo's forehead. "Now go and do whatever you were doing. Oh, and tell your father that the next time he wants something answered, he should just come to me instead of sending his children to do the work."

Rose and Hugo giggled as you could hear Ron swear right outside the office door, and mumble to himself as he walked away.

Yeah, I know Hermione would have probably told Ron what happened with Krum, but I like to think that she kept it a secret to him, much to his agitation.
