Another fanfic for the 100 prompt challenge! This one is based on the word "Days". I was thinking of writing Cesare/Micheletto again, but this came out on its own. I hope you enjoy it, or try to. It is based after Cesare's death.

Disclaimer: I don't own Assassins Creed or any of the historical characters mentioned here.

I looked at the moon, for what seemed to be the hundredth that night, or for the past days. I did not know which. I looked at the floor, staring at nothing for a few seconds, then at some trees and finally at the moon again. It was full this night, completely white and pure, not tainted by anything. As if it trying to show the sun how pure and beautiful it was, and trying to be together with him, but being completely unable though. I felt some more tears roll down my cheeks. This time I did not try to get rid of them. "Trying to be with him... but completely unable to" I muttered. I broke down, and started crying more. "Cesare" I whispered, while looking at the moon. I had been told this afternoon. Cesare had been killed in Viana some days ago. After he had killed father we hadn't talked much, not even when he had desperately asked for my help. I continued crying, as my train of thoughts repeated itself infinite times.

I heard a guard step into the garden. "Lady Lucrezia, Pietro came to see you" He said. I looked at him, surprised to see him here. I could see a glint of compassion on his eyes. "I thought I told you that I didn't want to see anyone today" I told him. "Yes, but he will not stop insisting" He added. "I don't care, I don't want to see anyone toda-" I started saying. "Lucrezia!" I heard my lover's voice suddenly shout. I soon saw my lover come running through the door, pushed the guard aside and forced me into a kiss. I immediately broke it. "Lucrezia! We can finally be together!" He said, joy evident on his voice. "Cesare finally died!" He added. I couldn't hold back another sob. "What the hell happens to you?" He suddenly said. I sobbed again. "You don't understand anything! Go away!" I shouted, as I went running away from the garden. The guard looked at me again compassionately, I could feel it. "What happens to her?" Pietro said moments after I had gone away. "You don't understand anything" The guard shouted, angry "Get out of here!" He finished saying, as he started pushing Pietro outside the palace.

I went to my room, and kneeled on my bed, as I cried stronger and stronger. "Cesare" I said again, sobbing. I continued saying his name for quite a long time, until I had no more tears left. I then lied on my bed, and stared at the ceiling, remembering all the moments I had passed with him. I closed my eyes, trying to stop the memories. They were breaking my heard more than it already was. I looked at a small desk that was beside the bed, and then saw it. A golden necklace which my brother had given to me as a present. Tears came back to my eyes, and I cried again as I hugged the necklace. Pretending that it was Cesare. Pretending that I was a child again. pretending that the moon had reached the sun.
