Summary:
She was running, running as fast as the north wind that tossed her hair. It was coming she could feel it in her bones. She saw the Cliff and jumped. Her posture crouched, like an animal waiting to strike because that's who she was, an animal, always an alert on, the look-out, never letting anyone get close.
Chapter One
He looked around for her in the huge lab and found her walking out of the Egyptian Storage Room.
He looked around to see who was with her but saw no one, witched eased his mind and heart but left him wondering. She was different today, the way she carried herself, moved, smelled. Wow, he said to himself, she looks nice, his mind floating to far-off lands when her voice brought him back."Do we have a case?", she asked innocently. He just noticed how much he liked it when she said we while dropping her off to get changed, and realized she was even dressed more differently than at the lab. Her usual Jeffersonian gear replaced with a skirt and lose-hanging shirt drooped off one shoulder. I could get use to this, he thought while handing her her morning coffee whilst she entered the taped off area.
Brennan noticed how Booth was acting differently around her today, looking at her in a puzzling way, then a observant way, then he wordlessly handed her the coffee and gave her that signature grin that gave her an odd feeling in her stomach that could be compared to insect wings fluttering in her insides, that is a extremely illogical, but I could get use to this she said smiling back.
