For the Ultimate Battle! Competition - 100-500 words of romance
"You are quickly becoming a proper English lady," says Bill to his wife as he kisses her forehead sweetly. "Soon, your accent will be in the past and even the Queen won't know you're French."
Her laughter is as magical as the first time he heard it back during the Triwizard Tournament held at Hogwarts. He smiles fondly at the memory.
"Well, it's not so bad being French, you know."
"But had you been English, we would have met sooner, darling."
Fleur smiles and kisses his cheek, the one marked by Greyback's claws. "This is how it was supossed to be, William. Magic and Fate are never wrong."
It's hard for him to say he agrees, because he knows magic and fate are not entities who govern their lives, but she has her beliefs and he has his. A kiss solves his hesitation to answer.
"Oh, don't kiss me to stop an argument, William!" Fleur teases him. "We both know you are too much of a gentleman to start a fight with your lovely wife."
"Maybe," he concedes.
Bill gets closer to her and cups her cheek with his hand. She closes her eyes at the feeling of his hands. "But maybe I want us to start another kind of fight."
Fleur smirks. "Oh, my gentleman is finally turning wild."
Bill laughs deeply. "Well, darling, the moon is already coming out. You will have the wolf you want."
