Beating Heart

Chapter 1: What were about; back where I Belong...

It was past midnight when it all occurred. I had prepared myself for this day to come, and now that it was here, the fear being held within me couldn't seem to decrease.

I held my breathe as I tip-toed down the long hall quietly. There was that eerie feeling that floated around the darken house. I loathe that feeling as it did nothing but increased my fear.

His snore's could be heard through out the upper part of the house. Knowing that small fact, eased the fear, but only slightly.

After My Mother slipped him a few drink's, I knew he could always get violent when in a drunken state, meaning many thing's would break, someone was bound to get hit but that was a risk we was forced to take.

Me doing something like this, the thought would have never surfaced my mind if I wasn't force to take a path he chose.

It was rare for me to visit my home, where my Mother and little Sister stayed. They both grew worried when I would suddenly appear, and then the next minute, vanish for another few week's. I was forced to kept my mouth shut. No information could be spoken if I wanted them out of harm's way. There was no way I was letting them in that part of my life. That was a life no child should have gone through, yet, there was cruel people in this world who would us any one, didn't matter the age, just as long as they got what they wanted, and stayed alive...

It seemed like hour's when I finally reached her door. Taking a deep breath, I reached for the silver doorknob, but didn't turn it.

My heart was telling my to get her, get my Mother, and take them somewhere far far away, but my mind was telling me something else. I could hear their voice's again. The fear dripping out of every word they've spoken.

"You can't do this, Sakura!" He hissed. "Do you not remember what happened to Luna? She did the exact same thing your about to do, and look what happened to her!" The pained look in his eye's nearly tore me apart.

I looked into her Crimson eye's, and a tear fell down my face. "They'll kill you," She whispered.

Of course they would kill me. I'm breaking one of the top rule's. But I needed to do this.. I had to at least try! I had to prove them wrong that I wasn't the weakest one there. Growing up there, I felt intimidated by almost everyone. I failed in doing the practice's, the game's, everything. This would be my last chance to prove myself worthy. Prove myself that they can't control me, that I was the one who succeeded, who won in the end. And I was so determined in doing so... I didn't want to live in a world of fear anymore. I wanted to be with my Family, my friend's, and far away from Him..

It would be very difficult in leaving, as I did have memories that I've held deeply. This was my home, a place where I feel safe..Felt safe, anyways... Could I take such a big step and leaving them behind? Of course I can't, but I had to try.. I couldn't take the abuse anymore, And I would be damned if she would be dragged into this mess.

I grasped the doorknob tightly, and turned it slowly. Pushing the door open, it creaked loudly, which forced me to stop. Listening carefully, I could still hear his snoring. Faintly, but it was still present. Sighing lowly, I looked at the ajar door. Holding my breath again, I slowly slid my way into the small opening. I couldn't risk opening the door even further if I wanted Him to wake up.

When I had finally managed to slip through, I let out a small breath in relief. Quickly making my way toward's the bed, I stared down at her small form. Her Innocent sleeping face caused a feeling of guilt wash over me. She didn't deserve to live in a lie anymore. It was time to get out.

I pulled the sheet's off her small body, I grabbed her stuffed bunny before gathered her up in my arm's before turning. It would be very difficult getting both our bodies through the crack of the door. "Ikumi," I whispered in her ear. I called her a few more time's until I saw her eye's open slowly. When she turned to look at me, her mouth open in a small whimper, but I quickly hushed her by putting my hand over her mouth. Once I knew she was going to keep quiet, I slowly detached my hand from her mouth, to place my finger over mine, signaling her to be quiet. Grasping her hand, I slowly exited the room. I held the door in place as she easily slipped through, but still being in a sleepy state, she stumbled into my leg's.

I quickly lifted her into my arm's once more, and quietly started making my way down the hall. The sound of her beating heart seized my nerves only slightly as I held her tighter.

It was when I finally reached the top of the stair's did I freeze in place. The house was deadly silent, and my nose could smell the strong stench of Alcohol...

"Ssakuraaa..."

My heart jumped within my chest as my eye's grew wider. Every step I took, I could feel my leg's slowly giving out as I increased my pace, but also being careful with Ikumi in my arm's.

"What's going on?" Her small voice questioned. Her grip had tightened around my neck as she too grew worried.

"Sakura!" His voice was firm this time. The smell seemed to have spread throughout the house now as I couldn't block that scent anymore. I nearly tumbled down the stair's, struggling to move my leg's faster, as I heard his heavy footstep's growing closer.

"Sakura! Get back here!" A loud crash was heard, causing Ikumi to jump in my arm's. Rounding the next stair case, my heart beated faster as I picked up the pace.

Once my foot left the last step, I nearly missed my footing as I darted toward's the door. I had only managed to throw the front door open when the back of my hair was yanked of back.

Beside's Ikumi's scream, I could hear a faint scream in the distance. It being my Mother. I prayed silently she didn't take one step out of that Car..

He tore Ikumi's form away from me and began dragging me by my hair away from her. I kicked, but didn't scream. My teeth biting down on my lip as I struggled to release his hold on me. I needed to calm down. I never did preform well when I was scared.

I pulled out the knife I held hidden in the waist band of my sweat pant's, and cut through my hair in a fluent motion. Quickly reacting, I rolled onto my stomach before charging at him. I managed to tackle him down with me. You'd be surprise, someone as small as me could take down an over sized man, but when you have nothing but fear, the dangerous training to rely on, you'd understand how possible it could be. Also may'be because he was also Intoxicated. But that didn't matter. I used that to my advantage to make this quick as possible.

He struggled to get a hold of the knife from my grasp, but I didn't let up. The last thing I needed was him to over power me with my own weapon.

His fist connected with the right side of my cheek, throwing me back. I slid a few feet across the floor, my head bumping into the the table near the door.

"Sakura!" I didn't turn to her as she began sobbing. I was too focused on the Man approaching me. The moonlight reflected on half of his face, and I could see his hazy, but angry eye's glaring down at me. He was quickly to jump on me. His fist mercilessly pounding hard on my face. With my weak attempt to stop him, a dark color colored his hand. Even in his drunken state, he still punches hard. Possibly even harder than in his regular state.

Catching his fist, I repeatedly kicked him in his face until he fell back. But he managed to get a hold of my ankle, and with his strength, he threw me on the other side of the room. I fell to the floor with a loud thud, and struggled to get up. I turned my head and watched as he drew near.

Ikumi ran and stood in from of me, shielding me from him. My eye's widen in fear for her safety as I could only imagine her tearful eye's, staring at him in a pleading manor. But it had no affect on him as he back-handed her. She flew a few feet away from me, and I screamed for her. "Ikumi!"

The wind was suddenly knocked out of me when his foot was jammed into my stomach. His foot lodged itself into me a few more time's until I heard him grunting a loud sickening sound erupted. He was then yanked away from me, and more shuffling was heard.

My head slowly rose, and I stared eye's wide as I recognized his fighting stance. My breathing stopped when I seen him snap his head in my direction, and his blue eye's glared at me. But the glare wasn't toward's me, that I knew, but it still sent chill's down my back to see him like this.

"Get up!" He ordered me.

I stood on weak ass shakily leg's and struggled to stand straight. My eyesight grew blurry, but I managed to go toward's Ikumi's trembling form. Lifting her to my arm's, I ran out of the house.

I could see Mother sitting in the front. She opened the door and I quickly placed Ikumi inside before going in the back. Tear's was already streaming down her face.

I glared out the window, trying to see what was going on inside.

But it was when I heard the car roar to life that I turned toward's my mother.

"What are you doing?!" I screamed.

She easily Ignored me, and began pulling out of the drive way. Was she really thinking about leaving him behind?! I jumped from my seat and reached for the key, but she stopped me by grabbing my hand.

"Sakura, stop!" She screamed, but I didn't. I couldn't. How could I just leave him like that! He's been a great help throughout all of this. I started to fight her for the key. I was so occupied with getting my hand's on the key, that I didn't hear my name being called out in the distance.

Suddenly the door on my side flew open and He appeared. He grabbed me by the waist and yanked me out of the car, my head hitting the roof of the car by his roughness. I began struggling against him, hitting anywhere, everywhere I could. "Let go!" I screamed. I twisted and turned, kicked, and screamed, but it was all futile.

I heard my Mother and Sister calling out to me, but didn't move an inch. I couldn't hear their scream's any longer, the same time he stopped in his track's. I glanced up to see him holding a gun our way. He had that look that always made me coward under him.

"Put her down." He ordered. His voice was

"You gonna shoot me? Go ahead!" He screamed. His grip on he tightened causing me to wheeze out. I wouldn't lie, I was beyond terrified at this point.

My heart skipped a beat when the trigger was pulled, signalling the gun shot. My body was dropped to the floor as he gave a agonizing scream. He fell to the ground behind me. He ran toward's me and pulled me to my feet. And the next thing I knew, I was being forced into the car.

And the last thing I could remember was the voice's that neared, the warm tear's that brought me back and the sight of his figure that grew smaller and smaller.

I could still remember that smile he displayed before another gun shot was fired.

5 year's later...

I placed the last box on the floor in the huge room that was claimed mine and sighed in relief. I fell back on the wooden floor, and glanced around the huge room. It was filled with most of my furniture but there was still work that needed to be done.

My lower back hurt like Hell, but I still can't shake this feeling as I was finally in a place I could call home. Was it a good idea to come back? What was to come now that were back? Will my friend's remember me? Many of these question's been floating through my head the past month, giving me that queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Of course he would go after us, and he'll get help doing so. We traveled from place to place just to loose him. That Man had changed my life for the worse for the past 7 years. He was the cause of us moving to begin with, forcing me to leave all the Important people in my life behind.

My last home..I was so glad to leave. A terrible accident is what drove us back here.

I could still remember what he said to My Mother the first time it all started.

I shooked my head. No, I couldn't be thinking about the past. It's all behind us.. Were all making a new start, and we have to stick to it. No more running away to pursuit silly dream's, no more hurting the one's who mean's the world to me, and no more pain...

I couldn't fully understand it at first.. First my Real Father died, and he suddenly show's up? It could be a coincidence, but... I don't know... I just don't...

Small foot step's was heard as they neared my door. "Sakura! Mommy want's us to help with one last box!"

I mentally groaned as I stood up. 'I need some pain killer's,' I grimaced as I placed my hand on my lower back. "Coming,"

Even with just us three , this all the family that I'll ever need...

Kiba

This could not be happening. It just simply couldn't! I took a step back as I stared down at her. A small growl coming from my side.

She had grown probably two inches the last time he seen her. Her Blonde hair Much longer, down to her waist that was bound with taut bandage's. Her dark mischievous eye's trained on me. She wore a short-sleeved black and blue blouse with Black pant's to match, both of which had a design similar to cloud's on them. Purple-less gloves captured her finger's and to decorate it, a chain of blue bead's wound around her left hand. A red belt around her waist to finish off her look's.

"Isn't this great Kiba? You guy's can catch up again!" My Mother said excitedly, pushing her pushing me forward.

I stumbled until I came face to face with the she-devil. "It's so good to see you again, Kiba!" She exclaimed, jumping up to wrap her arm's around my neck in a vice grip. Struggling to get this beast off of, I ended up falling with her on top of me.

"Don't have too much fun," I heard my Mother laughed. Groaning, I watched her walk away, disappearing within the kitchen. I could only glare at her back before fixing my glaze toward's Her, who was unfortunately too close for my liking's.

She pulled back slightly and that glint that I seen in her eye's could only mean one thing: Danger.

Swiftly Throwing her off of me, I rolled in the opposite direction, and got into a crouching position. "Why are you here?!" I snapped.

"Isn't it obvious?" She asked, giving me a small cat-like smirk that I always hated. "I live here now." And to just prove her point, she pointed behind her toward's her luggage with her thumb.

"Like hell you don't!"

"Not forever I mean, just for a few months..Or year's." She rolled over on to her back and glazed up lovingly at the beaded chain on her arm. "My Parent's need's a break from me and I too need the same, and since our mom is still kept in touch, Tsume was happy to take me." She sighed and rolled onto her side. I watched as her sharp nail's drew small circle's on the tiled floor. "Long story short, I got kicked out of my old school, and now I'm transferring to Your's."

"Why can't any of your other family member's take you?"

"Tried that, didn't work." She shrugged.

My head shooked slowly at this new piece of information. How could this be happening to me right now? Was I being punished or something? If so, I didn't know why. I hadn't done anything remotely bad.

A small meow's forced me back to harsh reality. I watched as she crawled over to the small container and opened it. "Kiba, your remember Matatabi, don't you?"

I shuddered. I hated that cat with a passion. The way he look's just creep me out. He had that creepy vibe that force's you to watch your back. And those eye's..Those Green and Yellow eye's, always watching my every move... Just the thought caused me to shudder again. I could remember all the time's that Beast scratched me. I still have those mark's to this day! And who the hell dye's their cat blue?!

I fell back when the Said cat, was shoved into my face. ~Shudder's~ Those eye's... "Get that creepy shit away from me!" I couldn't help but shout.

Yugito held the cat close to her chest. "Still afraid of Cat's I see," She muttered, petting the furry mini beast.

"I'm not scared of Cat's. He's just freaking creepy!" I corrected her.

"He's adorable!" Yugito argued, hugging him to her chest. Matatabi hissed lowly, glaring at me.

Okay, I had enough of this. Rolling back, I stood to my feet and dusted myself before picking up Akaramru. "Whatever. I'm leaving." I muttered. There was no way I was staying with this crazy chick and her savage for a beast any longer.

"Leaving? Where are you going?"

"Out." I bit. The faster I get away from her, the better! Turning, I headed for the stair's when I heard her call out to me.

"You can leave After you help me unpack."

I snapped my head back and looked at her as if she was crazy. "Do it yourself."

Yugito placed Matatabi on the ground and started to cry. "Ms. Inuzuka! Kiba won't help me unpack!" She wailed, tear's streaming down her face.

I snapped around to see the brat had actual tear's in her eye's. I crossed his arm's over my chest. Like Hell Mother would believe this bullshit. In a matter of second's, I heard footstep's approaching and couldn't help but smirk to myself.

I was suddenly pushed to the side as my Mother came and crouched down to her level, and all I could do was stare eye's wide at her. "Kiba! I did Not raise you to be rude, now be a gentleman and go help her unpack!"

I opened my mouth to complain but nothing came out. A small growl and soft tapping on my head was what brought me back. "Mom," I started, but stopped when she gave me a look.

Perching my lip's shut, I snatched two of her bag's and stormed up the stair's.

"Thank you, Kiba-Kun! I know we'll have a great time together!"

"Aw!" My Mother cooed, pulling her into a hug. Yugito looked up and gave me that cat-like smirk once more.

After dumping the last bag into Hana's room, I quickly made my way toward's my room.

"Kiba, I need to head out for a bit, My job called me in."

"Alright," I said distractedly. She gave me a kiss before making her way toward's the door. "Also, keep an eye on Yugito."

"Mom, she's old enough to stay by herself, and besides I'm heading out soon"

"Great! Take Yugito with you,"

"Mom," I sighed.

"And where do you think your going? You got school tomorrow."

Getting my phone, I scrolled down until I reached, "LoudMouth," And hit the green button.

It ranged three times before I heard Naruto's voice. "Kiba, where the hell are you?!" He screamed.

A sigh escaped my lip's. 'And he wonder's why he's called LoudMouth' "I can't make it,"

"And why the hell not?!"

"I'm stuck babysitting!" I snapped. His voice was getting me even more irritated.

"Babysitting? You got a job or something?"

"No, it's just-"

"H-hang on a sec. Kiba."

I could hear another voice in the background and quickly recognized it as Shikamaru's. Naruto quickly explained the situation before talking. "Kiba, your on speaker." Naruto informed me. "Dude, were almost to your house, you sure you can't ditch the kid somewhere?"

"I wish I could," I sighed.

"Then just bring the kid," Came Sasuke's voice.

"Bringing a snotty nose kid is too troublesome," Shikamaru complained in the background.

"You do know if you don't show then we'll have to change the plan completely," Sasuke explained.

I shooked my head, even though he couldn't me see. "No. There's no way she's coming," I said definitely. There was no way she was going to ruin it for me. "The plan would get ruin if I bring her,"

"Come on, she can't be that bad," Naruto reasoned.

My mouth opened to curse at him when I turned as my door opened, and my whole body froze at the sight.

"Kiba? You there?"

I couldn't respond as I was now staring at my once white dog, who was now a shade of Pink. He was decorated with two ribbon's on his ear's, Blue around his eye's, and to top it off, his nail's was also colored Pink. He whimpered loudly, trembling slightly in her arm's.

"Ki-" I dropped my phone and ran after her.

The four looked alarmed as they heard a girl's scream. "That kid sound's troublesome," Shikamaru exclaimed.

"Kiba's bringing a loudmouth isn't what we need!" Naruto sulked.

"Your one to talk," Sasuke scoffed, keeping his eyes on the road.

"Teme," Naruto grumbled. "Why don't Neji just babysit her?" He turned to the quiet brunette in back left only to shrink back in his seat after receiving a harsh glare.

It was only minute's when they finally pulled up to Kiba's house. They all turned their head's toward's the house as they heard faint screaming. After sitting there confused, Naruto was the first to jump out of the car and run toward's the house, soon followed by his three companion's

"The door's open," Naruto noted. Sasuke pulled open the door, the four froze in place as they stared at the sight before them.

There, stood Kiba who held a black belt in his hand, and squirming small teen in his grasp. His hand came down rapidly as he tried to fully contain his grasp on the girl.

"Ah! Ow! Kiba, stop!" She cried, twisting around to avoid the black leather, but failed as she was yanked back toward's him.

Giving her one last blow to her bottom, he pushed her to the side. Yugito bumped into the wall and slide down to the floor. She gave a small hiss toward's him, glaring dagger's at him.

I glared back at her twice as hard. Running a hand through my hair, I turned around but stopped, seeing friend's. Seeing their look's, just made me even angrier. "What?" I snapped.

"This is the little girl your Babysitting?" Sasuke questioned.

"Sadly, yes." I sighed, glaring back at the fallen teen. "Get that shit off him Now,"

"I can't. It last's for two week's."

I gritted my teeth as I sighed loudly. "Get upstairs, I'm not done with you yet,"

The small teen struggled to stand to her feet. "I'll get you back, dog breath,"

That earned her another strike across her butt. "Get upstairs!" I snapped. I watched as she ran up the stair's, before turning back toward's them again.

Naruto turned his slightly. "So your girl friend..." He started.

"She's not my girl friend!" I snapped.

"Childhood friend?" Shikamaru questioned.

"She's not my friend either!"

"Look, we need to get this shit done," Sasuke interrupted.

"Well I have to watch her so I'm stuck here," I told him.

"No your not," All head's turned toward's the Hyuga. "Hinata will watch over the kid. Let's go,"

I sighed. "Fine, give me a minute." I turned and started making my way toward's the stair's. "Yugito!" Opening the door to his Sister's room to see her on her phone, on the floor. "Get up,"

She looked at me warily, slowly sitting up. "Why,"

I closed the door and leaned on it, the belt gripped tightly in my hand's. "Don't cause me anymore trouble. Your going to my friend's house so his Cousin could watch you,"

"I'll pass,"

"And if my mom ask, you will not tell her anything," He continued.

"No," She started. "What make's you think that I'm going to sit quiet about this?"

The four glanced up as the silence was broken when her scream's could be heard once more. "This is too Troublesome!" Shikamaru groaned from his spot.

Neji looked down as he felt something brush up against him, and he frowned slightly.

"Oh shit!" Naruto muttered, once he seen the pink pup brushing itself up against Neji's leg. He lifted Akamaru up and held him at arm's length. "I see why Kiba isn't too thrilled about that girl," Naruto muttered, petting the once white puppy. He looked at the quiet teen. "So Hinata's watching her, huh?"

Neji only nodded.

"Ino and Sakura is going to be with her," Shikamaru mentioned.

"How do you know that?" Sasuke questioned.

"They was planning on seeing some kind of movie, I heard them talking about it." He said waving it off.

"MMMMFT!" They all turned to see Yugito thrown over my shoulder's, tied up. I Ignored their stare's and walked past them. "Let's go."

Once in the car, Sasuke took the wheel, and Neji, who sat beside him, forced the Blond to be cramped in the back with me and Shikamaru.

"Kiba, why is she tied up?" Naruto questioned, slightly annoyed as he tried his best to avoid her angry leg movement's.

"She resisted in following simple instruction's." Was my only reply. I rested his elbow on the door, my face in my hand and stared outside the window. I paid no mind to the movement on my leg, and did nothing but wish this was nothing but a sick joke.

Yugito rubbed her face on my leg repeatedly until the band slid off her mouth. "I swear to god I'll call the Police on all of you!"

Naruto's eye's widen. "What?!"

"You can't even reach your phone," Shikamaru pointed out.

"Shut up, Smart ass!" She hissed.

I quickly re-did the band and put it back on tightly. I could feel a headache coming on from her shouting. I didn't need to hear her pointless threat's any longer.

It didn't take long to arrive at the hyuga compound. When the car pulled in, we all remained silent.

"Once you let me go, I'm telling your Mother," She snapped.

"What the hell do you want?" I sighed.

"I want to go with you." I, along with the rest, sighed in annoyance at this. "And if you don't let me go, " She continued. "I'll report all of you for kidnapping me,"

"We didn't kidnap you," Sasuke said, jumping into the conversation. He glaring at her through the rear-view mirror.

"Ever heard of Guilty by association?" That caused us to all sigh again. "Now untie me," She hissed out. Once she was free, she turned toward's Naruto. "Move,"

"What? No!"

"Sit on his lap," She said, motioning toward's Shikamaru.

Shikamaru gave her a look, along with Naruto. "No way!"

"Hell no." Shikamaru snapped.

Sighing, I grabbed her by the waist and sat her on top of me. Surprisingly, she didn't fight me back on this. She really didn't have much of a choice as all four of us was piled in the back. Five, including Akamaru.

Ignoring the stare's I received, I rested my head back and closed my eye's. This wasn't a good start to start the new school year off with. First my enemy is now living with us, my dog turned pink, and now she's sitting on my lap.

I heard Sasuke suck his teeth before pulling away, leaving Neji's cousin bewildered.

Her staying with us was just unthinkable. It was bad enough that we use to be neighbor's. I couldn't remember a happier time when it was the day that she moved away.

It wasn't long until I heard her voice again. "Konoha High?" Yugito questioned. "What are we doing here?"

"We have some business to take care of," Naruto answered with a smirked.

I opened my eye's to see us at our destination, and couldn't help but sigh inwardly. I wanted to do my prank...

"So.." Naruto started, after a few minute's. "Is she coming along with us?"

"No!" Was everyone else's reply.

"Please don't leave me with her." I whined. I didn't care at this point, I just didn't want to be left alone with her. But of course they all Ignored me as they didn't hesitate in opening their door's.

I could hear Shikamaru's faint voice as he complained about being cramped in the back, not having enough leg space.

Yugito made a move to open the door when my hand shot out to grab her wrist, halting her. "Were staying here," I said, glaring at her. She glared back at me.

So lost in our small glaring contest, almost missed the knock on the window. "Hey, you both better still be dressed when we get back." Naruto joked, sticking his tongue out at her, flipping one eye lid. I could feel her glare intensified She made another attempt to open the door, but I stopped her again.

"Why can't I go?" She asked angrily.

"Knowing you, you're just gonna cause nothing but problem's." I answered.

Giving me one last look, she started to move off of me, until I stopped her. "What are you doing?"

"Getting off, your not exactly comfortable," She began clawing at my wrist's, but I didn't loosen my grip.

"You can't," I said pulling her back into my lap. "Not all of us can fit in the back, and if were lucky, no one is in the school so they won't get caught."

"Then let me get in a different position then." She snapped.

This time, I let her go, and she grabbed onto my shoulder's as she turned her body to face me, now straddling me. Her dark eye's glared into mine, and I couldn't help but look away as an awkward silent broke through.

I could still feel her glaze still on me, but I still refused to meet her glare as I frown upon the new position. Not that I don't love girl's in this position..But it is weird to have Her like this.

"Would you stop squirming?"

~~~~~~~~n.n
"We should climb through the window's like Ninja's?" Naruto exclaimed, jumping into a weird stance with a wide grin on his face.
"Or we could just go through the front door's like regular human being's." Neji said, walking ahead of everyone. He pulled opened the door and Sasuke and Shikamaru followed right behind him.
"Sure, if you want to do it the boring way," Naruto grumbled, following after them.
The hall's were dark, the only light coming from the window that the moon gave off. The only sound is there light footstep's. Sasuke, now taking the lead, peered behind the corner and looked both way's down the hall.
Sasuke put his finger to his lip's, signaling for Naruto to be quiet.
"What I didn't say anything!" Naruto whispered back harshly.
"Shikamaru, go with the dobe and make sure he doesn't screw up anything. Once he's done, meet us on down the hall." Sasuke informed him. He motioned for Neji to follow him, while Shikamaru just watched them beside the Blond.
"Yeah, just leave me here with Naruto," Shikamaru yawned, stuffing his hand's in his pocket's. "How Troublesome."
Naruto's eyebrow twitched. "What's so Troublesome is that you keep complaining," Naruto shot back, walking the opposite way. He headed up the stair's to the second floor and down the hall. Shikamaru tilted his head to the side.
"Why are you picking the lock to Tsunade's office?"
"Payback."
"Payback?"
"She totally embarrassed me in front of the whole school, so now," He grunted, turning the doorknob. " I'm gonna help her get rid of that little drinking habit of her's."
"How? By pouring all her Sake out? That's not really much of a Prank."
"Well, think of it as a small warning."
"Just hurry up," Shikamaru sighed.
"Don't you have a Prank to do?"
"Not tonight, too troublesome."
Naruto just huffed at the answer he gave before pushing open the door. Together, they both entered the room. Shikamaru closed the door behind them, as Naruto quickly went toward's the enormous desk. He opened many of the draw's until he found thee one with thee many bottle's inside. "Gotcha."
Shikamaru looked through the glass door before turning back toward's the Blond. "You do know she could always buy more, right?" But he was Ignored as Naruto was reading something in the document's.
"Hey, There's a new kid transferring here tomorrow," Naruto said.
"Yeah, that bratty kid Kiba's watching," Shikamaru answered.
"No not her, someone named, Natsumi Nakamura."
"What does that have to do with anything?" Shikamaru questioned. "We need to hurry before they come looking for us."
Naruto waved him off. "They could always call our cell phone if they need us that badly." Glancing at the paper once more, he put everything back to the way they were before heading toward's the door.
"What about the Sake?"
"Right," Quickly gathering theme in his hand, he quickly rushed out of the room. Shikamaru could only shake his head at his friend, closing the door.
Making their way back down the stair's, Naruto stopped at a locker and took out his tool's, and began picking the lock.
Shikamaru, who was leaned against the next locker, glanced his way with a raised eyebrow. "Your going to prank a transfer student?"
Naruto gave him his signature smile as he chuckled. "The kid's gotta know what were about. He can't just watch from the sideline's."
"Isn't that kinda harsh?"
"Nah, and bedside's It's not like I'm doing something over the top, just a simple, "Welcome To our beloved school,"."
"Just hurry up, would ya? I gotta be home soon."
"Alright, alright, Sheesh."
"So..what's the plan?" Shikamaru questioned after a few moment's.
"Something about creating their own slip and slide. Frankly, I think we should make the whole school a slip and slide instead a small portion of it."
"You want the whole school to get injured or something?"
"..Eh, some of them anyways."
"Sometime's I wonder to myself, how did I ever get mixed up with you three." The taller teen picked inside his ear as he easily Ignored the Blond's grumbling. It was only Minute's later when they both frozed as they could hear a faint yell, closely followed by rapid foot step's approaching. Sasuke's and Neji's form ran passed them in a blur.
Shikamaru turned to meet Naruto's glanced and thought he was thinking the same thing as him, but sadly he was wrong when he noticed the Blond wasn't running behind him like he predicted. "Dude!"
Sasuke stopped and turned around to glare at his friend. "The Security is coming, we need to go," Sasuke Informed the two.
"Alright, just give me a sec." Naruto said.
"We have no time for that!" Shikamaru snapped. He grabbed the back of his jumpsuit and ran.
"HEY, YOUR FOUR! STOP!"
"This is so uncomfortable!" Yugito whined, shifted her body for the third time that night. Her form was now against his firmly as one of her arm's was drapped over Kiba's shoulder's, her chin on the other. She glanced boredly at the back window at nothing in particular.
"Stop complaining. You chose to come alone." Kiba snapped. He was glad she didn't reply back like she normally would have, and just threw his head back. His head shooked lightly as he glared at the roof of the car. 'Tonight couldn't get any worse, could it?'
The girl in his lap jumped when the door's suddenly flew open, and the four jumped inside. Naruto was the one who sat in front of the wheel, while Neji was forced to get in the back.
Shikamaru raised an eyebrow at the two's position. "Don't ask," Kiba muttered, rubbing his eye's.
"What did you guy's do?" Yugito asked, noticing their slight breathing.
Naruto opened his mouth to speak when Neji beated him to it. "Nothing you need to worry about,"
"Drive!" Sasuke snapped. Naruto's foot slammed on the gas pedal and he quickly pulled out.
"Get back here!"
Everyone turned their head's to see the janitor waving an angry fist in the air, but their bodies relaxed when they watched his figure grow smaller.
"That was too close," Neji sighed.
Shikamaru tried to get more comfortable with the Item's he held. "Did you at least finish the job?"
"Not even close," Answered Sasuke. He casted a light glare at Naruto. "That was risky, Dobe."
"Hey, unlike you, I actually managed to get one job complete." Naruto stated proudly.
"Taking Booze from Tsunade's office doesn't count as a Prank," Shikamaru sighed, rubbing his eye's.
"And I told you, think of it as a little warning." Naruto snapped, glaring behind him. And doing so, the car began swerving.
Sasuke's eye's widen as he watched the car go up on the side walk. "Idiot!" Sasuke snapped as he got control of the wheel, swerving it back on the road. Just barely avoiding the girl and her dog. He ignored the numerous apologies from the Blond as he struggled to stay in a straight line. The four in the back struggled to grab a hold of something.
Naruto swallowed the hard lump that was in his throat. "I am So sorry," He cried once more, the color nearly drained from his face.
"Tell that to the girl you almost ran over," Came Neji, who glared at the back of his head.
"Give me a break, would ya!"
"Dobe!" Sasuke snapped, grabbing a hold of the wheel again.
"I'm sorry!" Naurto cried, also grabbing a hold of the wheel. He accidentally stepped on the break's, causing everyone to be jerked forward in their seat's. And unfortunately, Kiba's forehead smacked right into Yugito's.
She hissed as she held her now throbbing head. "Someone else drive please!" Yugito snapped.
"Hey! I'm not a bad driver!" Naruto exclaimed, snapping back around.
"You won't live to see the next day If you wreck this car." Sasuke threatened thee Blond.
Naruto was already making his way out of the car. Sasuke just rolled his eye's as he too, got out of the car. Naruto was lucky enough to dodge Sasuke's flying hand that was aimed for the back of his head, and quickly got into the car. Sasuke took a hold of the wheel, and with a light shake of his head, he put the car in gear, and drive off.
Once the Car came to a stop at Kiba's house, all four male's sighed in relief. Kiba opened the door, and didn't hesitate in pushing the teen off him. Yugito stumbled out from the car, barely catching herself in time, and glared at him. After biding his friend's a goodnight, Kiba stepped out, and gripped the back of her shirt, nearly dragging her to the house. Her ranting starting back up again.
"I feel bad for him," Naruto muttered, shaking his head lightly.
"Troublesome kid's are the worst." Shikamaru agreed.
Sasuke and Neji silently agreed, nodding their head's as they watched the two argue as they walked toward's the door.
Kiba turned her around to face him, and forced her back to collided with the door. She looked up to him hovering over her, a serious look on his face. "Speak one word about this and your dead." He warned.
But that didn't stop the smug look from appearing on her. "You can't do nothing, your Mom is here."
"Wrong. She's working over night, until the morning." He smirked as he watched her smug look slowly fade away. "Get inside,"
It was an hour ago when I returned home. I had just came from walking our dog, Mika and nearly got ran over by some crazy person. Wow, first day back and I nearly got killed.
But beside's that, I missed this place dearly. I didn't see much as I just walked around. 2 Block's the most. But what I've seen so far, have changed. Even if it was two block's, I could see one of the playground's have been reconstructed.
Now, I sat on my window seal, just looking through my window. Many star's decorated the night, reminding me of how I never grew tired of just staring at the darken sky for hour's. I rubbed the back of the small furry animal as he slept on me. Sighing, I glanced back outside the window, watching the car's go by. It was late, and there was still so much to do. 'Mind's well take a shower,' Gently, so I wouldn't wake him. I carried him in my arm's and carried him to my bed before grabbing a few clothes and a towel, I marched toward's my build in Bathroom, which I was so grateful for.
As I stepped into the steaming shower, I let out a sigh in relief. This shower felt too wonderful...
My mind kept slipping back to the school. I could feel my inside's turning. Couldn't tell if it was because I'm happy that I'm gonna see my friend's, or nervous with the new thing's I'm gonna face.
I could admit, I was kinda feeling a little nervous. Thought's of the three most Important people plagued my mind. Their smile's, the time's we had shared. Good and Bad. I couldn't help but smile at the memories. Oh how I miss those day's...
I scrubbed my body with the soap before stepping under the water. Closing my eye's, a sigh escaped my parted lip's as the warm liquid ran down my neck, and onto my back. I never did stay too long in there though, as my mind started to fog up with the unwanted memories.
An image of his Onyx eye's suddenly appeared and my eye's suddenly flew open. I took a sharp breath as I jumped in my spot. I could feel my heart pounding harshly. Pushing the shower curtain's back, I grabbed the towel and wrapped tightly around me. Patting my body dry, I moved to grab my clothes on the sink when I stopped and took a glance at myself in the mirror. I could say I've changed. Of course physically..but not mentally. I was still the same 12 year old girl all those year's ago in a 16 year old body.
Tearing my glaze off my reflection, I grabbed my clothes and started to dress myself. I just couldn't get my mind around of how my life would be now. What new thing await's me. Either more pain and fear, or the freedom we finally deserve.
Stepping out of my bathroom, I walked over to my bed and took a seat at the edge, glazing down at the floor. We have gotten everything in advance while we was on the run. Clothes, food (But were low on that at the moment), and even school supplies. Regardless of where we go, Education was on of my main priorities. And speaking of school, the new school I'm attending has a Uniform policy. My eye's met with my closet, and I couldn't help but feel anxious.
Getting up, I walked toward's the closet and pulled out my uniform. Quickly slipping it on, I looked at myself in my full length mirror. So This is what I would look like in the famous Konoha uniform. The schools uniform consist of a white, long sleeved sailor fuku style top. The collar is a light blue with dark blue trim, just like the cuffs of the sleeves. A triangle cut on the bottom middle of the front of the uniform is present, as well as a dark blue trim along the bottom. On the left Beast plate, the school patch is carefully ironed on. Around the collar is a red ribbon.
I nodded my head in approval. I looked decent, with my pink hair and all, but I knew that was going to be a problem. Re-looking at my appearance, I couldn't help but frown slightly. The only flaw with the look was the skirt. An inch or two longer wouldn't hurt. I will never understand what's with school's with these tiny skirt's and somewhat tight shirt's.
It's been a while since something normal entered my life. I couldn't help but let a smile form on my lip's at the thought of school. All the school's I've attended didn't last a full year of course, Relocation and all. Hopefully I can this time. My stomach felt like butterflies was fluttering around inside at the thought of school. I was glad it was a week away. It'll give me some time to think about all this.
My Mother poked her head in my doorway. "Sakura, stop talking to yourself and get out of your uniform. Who knew you would be so excited to go back to school?" She laughed, making her way inside.
I could only laugh. That'll be the day. When teen's say they can't wait until school, they mean they can't wait to see there friend's, not the school. But who know's, I actually might come to like this school.
She hugged me from behind, her chin resting onto of my head. Her facial expression gave a signal of tiredness, but she still held a smile as her green eye's shone brightly in the mirror. "You don't know how proud of I am of you," She whispered. I closed my eye's as rested my head against her. "After everything..You've grown into a strong beautiful Women."
I began shaking my head."Mom, stop." I knew where this was going. The last thing I needed was us both breaking down and getting worried about the past. Thing's are different now, and they Will get better.
I turned to face her, giving her a look. She just gave me a small smile, her eye's now watering greatly. After biding me a Goodnight, I watched as she made her way out of my room, closing the door behind her.
Switching into my Pj's, which consist's of a tank top and short short's, I got into my bed, watching out for Mika. Pulling the cover's over me, I turned to stare at the window. The moon was out and full, with small tiny star's surrounding it.
I smiled softly as it felt good..Good to be back were I belonged. But I couldn't help but let a sad smile make an appearance. May'be this would do us some good. Of course it was going to take some time getting use to it as everything did start from here.
'I just hope I made a good choice,'
