To Love You More

Another Christine poem, she ponders who she loves. Takes place when she has to choose between Raoul and Erik.

You have grown impatient

For I am wasting time

But you so often do wait

And you care and understand me

You sing for me in more ways than one

And you listen as I sing

And you help me sing better

And you

You saved my scarf

And you made me a princess in your eyes

You adored me and asked nothing of me but love

Love that I am not sure I can give you

Love that you give me consistently

Love that Papa also promised I would have

But Erik can give me the same love

Can he not?

Yes, he already has

So did Papa want me to receive these things from two different men

Or one in the same?

Why must I be confused?!

But no, it makes sense

I was to receive them from two men

But from one also

I've decided

I love you Erik

For what you have given me

But I think Raoul is the one supposed to give me the second half

Even though you have already begun

So I'm going to end this childish rivalry

With a kiss.
