A/N: I wrote this for Sophie since she asked for a fairy tale. It's a silly little story but I hope you still enjoy it and please, leave a review!
Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess named Sara. Her father was evil and locked her away in a big tower. Sara was miserable. She spent all day looking out the window and wishing she were free. One day she noticed a shining light on the horizon. She couldn't work out what it was but it traveled down the hill, glowing under the sun.
Prince Gil rode his steed gallantly towards the castle. He had heard all about the evil King Sidle and about his beautiful young daughter. He was on a quest to save her. Gil could feel the sun reflecting off of his suit of armor as he neared the castle. Up in the high tower, poking her head out of the window, he could see the Princess. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
Without hesitation he dismounted his horse and burst into the castle. King Sidle was outraged. He reached for his sword and began to duel with the young Prince. The King was no match for Prince Gil. The Prince's fast and effective swordplay quickly ended the King. He fell to the ground in front of the Prince and took his last strangled breathes.
In her tower, Princess Sara heard all the commotion, but with no way to go and investigate she hid away in her closet, scared of what was coming. The gentle tapping on the door made her heart jump.
"Princess Sara, I am here to rescue you. Please, don't be afraid." Prince Gil said softly.
Hesitantly, Princess Sara made her way to the door. She pressed her ear against the wood, wanting to hear the voice of her saviour.
"I'm afraid I cannot let you in. I am trapped, forever a prisoner in my own castle." She admitted sadly.
"Stand away from the door Princess." Prince Gil ordered, drawing his sword.
With one swift movement, Prince Gil hammered down the door. Princess Sara stood back, shocked. The young royal's eyes met and Princess Sara's heart started to race.
"Come with me Princess. Let me take you away from here. We can start a new life in my kingdom." The Prince asked.
Princess Sara ran into her Prince's arms. He lifted her up, her dress flowing beneath her, and carried her out of the room. As they passed her father's deceased body, he shielded her eyes and hurried her out of the castle.
"Thank you, Prince. But I'm afraid I do not know your name. I cannot leave my kingdom with a stranger." She said earnestly.
"My name is Prince Gil" He replied with a soft smile.
The Prince lifted Princess Sara's hand and kissed it gently. Princess Sara's cheeks turned a light shade of pink. Never before had she been treated with such care and affection.
Prince Gil helped Princess Sara onto the back of his horse and then mounted it himself. Together they rode off into the setting sun, leaving the castle behind them. Prince Gil and Princess Sara married the very next day and they lived happily ever after.
The End.
