Disclaimer: I do not own The Vampire Diaries nor its characters. They belong to L.J. Smith, Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, The CW Network, and whoever else.
Note/Warning: Written before the start of season three. Implied threesome. I'm almost sad we didn't get more devious, wicked ghosts together. Almost. Feedback appreciated! :)
You Are the Punishment, and I Am the Guilty
He honestly doesn't know what to make of them. They never give him time to think. One is almost always around, hovering, tracing ghost-like touches over his hair or his hands - or his neck.
That's when they get that hungry look in their eyes. The one where veins swell with blood and darken and their closed mouths open slightly to show off fangs.
He doesn't ever ask, because he's afraid that will make them angry. (And then they'll leave him alone and give him too much time to think.)
Sometimes they get along. Anna will sit behind him, arms and legs casually cradling him while Vicki lays stretched out with his lap as her pillow. They'll ask him if he remembers this or that; when Anna drank his blood the first time, or when Vicki gave him his first blowjob.
They'll giggle together when it makes his blood rush. They'll get that hungry look in their eyes again. They'll play with him together, sharing like good, little girlish vampire ghost creatures.
He doesn't ever protest, because he's afraid that will piss them off. (And then they'll leave him alone and unable to get himself off.)
Then there are times where they hate each other. Glowering silently from across the room Jeremy's in until it all boils up and they're fighting like animals. Vicious and nasty and never causing any real damage to themselves - or the house they're in.
They'll fight and they'll shout and they'll blame each other for Jeremy being torn in two. Then they'll remember he's torn in three, and the hatred they share for Bonnie unites them again.
He doesn't ever say a word, doesn't intervene or speak up in anyone's defense or tell them to leave. Because he's afraid they will, bitter and angry at him because he let them both die and he should be grateful they're back. Because he is. (And if they leave him all alone, he just might follow.)
