Twenty years ago or so
A group was newly sewn
There thrived four wizards of great style
Whose nick-names are well known
Brave James Potter, the boy-next-door
Suave Sirius from Penn
Wise Remus Lupin, across the yard
Shrewd Pettigrew from the inn
They shared a hope, a wish, a dream
They hatched a daring plan
To further guide mischief-makers
Thus, the Marauders Map began
Now each of these co-founders
Were different all in all
Though very much loved pranks and tricks
Each followed his own call
Good 'ol Prongs was bold and strong
A deer-leap from the rest
While Padfoot is all fun and games
So charming at his best
Now Moony here is more reserved
But so cool nonetheless
And Wormtail is another story
More dark and treacherous
The Marauders as we call them
Were the pranksters of their time
So smooth and cool and funny
I just made this poem of mine
To honor those so honorable
A cut above the rest
Thank you Padfoot, Moony, Wormtail, Prongs!
The heroes with such zest!
