Behind Locked Doors
He moved with a slow predatory grace. A tiger circling its prey. I backed away. Fear grew in the pit of my stomach as the ring of blue around the pupils of his thirsty eyes flashed to black. I quickly shot my eyes towards the door then back to him. Feeling myself go cold when he was no longer there. The hair on the back of my neck prickled.
"Leaving so soon?" whispered a smooth low voice into my ear. Gasping I wiped around coming face to face with Artemis Fowl the Second. More like face to stomach because of my 3ft elfin height and his almost 6ft 'human' height. Frightened I took two shaky steps backwards craning my neck to look up at his pale face. His terrifying black eyes locked onto my hazel ones.
Without thought I dashed to the door. A tidal wave of panic crashed through me when I was unable to get the door opened. I wiped back around to face Artemis who stood at the opposite side of the room. A low chuckle escaped from within his throat. Sending a shiver crackling down my spine. A charming smile tugged at his soft lips as he slowly walked towards me. Fear pulsed through me as I looked desperately around dimly lit room for another way out, but found none. I was trapped.
His pace grew louder and faster matching the rapid beating of my heart. I backpedaled until I felt my back pressed up against the wall. His foot steps came to a halt an arm length away from me. Swallowing hard I slowly lifted my glazed eyes to meet Artemis's eyes. He slowly grinned. My eyes widened with horror. A loud gasp escaped from me, and I struggled to keep my self from fainting when his grin revealed two blood thirsty fangs. God help me.
