Michael is outside in a field kicking a rock forward only a little. He quietly thinks to himself about what today is but he sighs softly under his breath as he tries to get rid of the thought of what day it is today. He pauses when he hears footsteps behind him and he turns only to find Gavin, Griffon, Geoff and Millie have approached though Gavin more than the other three.

"Hey Micool." Gavin greets. "What are you doing all alone here on family day?"

"Just kind of chilling." Michael shrugs softly. "Don't have anything planned."

"Why not?" Gavin asks.

Michael almost wants to sigh again but holds back and speaks instead. "I don't really have anyone to be doing something with." He says. "Catholic orphanage." He adds almost softly before Gavin can say something.

Gavin turns to Geoff and they share a nod before turning back to Michael. Gavin reaches for Michaels arm taking it while Geoff goes around behind Michael. Gavin is gently pulling on Michaels arm while Geoff is gently pushing on his back. The two begin to take Michael off to somewhere with them as Millie and Griffon follow with them.

All four smiling.

Michael blinks but doesn't struggle as he lets the two guide him. "What? Where are we going?"

Gavin turns grinning at Michael. "You silly. You are coming to join us." He says.

"Yup." Geoff says in agreement. "You're a part of this family and you are not spending family day alone."

Michael blinks letting that process through his head for a moment.

Suddenly Millie slightly hugs his leg for a moment getting him to turn to her.

"Family never leaves someone behind."

Griffon nods. "That is correct." She agrees.

Michael glances around himself at the four and joins them in walking so the two don't have to be partially dragging him. He can't help but smile softly though.

Geoff lowers his hands from Michaels back but Gavin keeps his gentle grip on Michaels arm.

They head to a restaurant first.

The man at the front door looks up. "Five?"

"Yes." Geoff agrees.

"Family?" The man asks as if just wanting to confirm it.

"Yup. We brought our three kids." Griffon confirms.

Michael barely holds back happy tears. He actually has a family to be with this family day.

As the man opens the door and they head inside Michael expresses his gratitude.

"Thank you."

As they wait for the waitress to get the menus Michael is hugged in response to the thanks.

Yes. This will be a great family day and one Michael can look forward to as well as maybe even every family day to come.

The end.
