Author's Note: Yeah... so this is something random I came up with when I was drawing Roxas, and I really like this poem. Also, I appologize for any facts/chronological orders I messed up; I'm not that far into the game and even though I've seen the opening three hours three times, it's still hard to remember all the details. There are some words that are completely capitalized but that just means they have a sort of "double meaning"--really, I just felt like doing it that way.So enjoy and please review!

My Name is Roxas

They said we'd go together,
--They said I look like him
They said I shouldn't exist,
--And they said I'd never win.
I asked them where he was,
--And they said they wanted my key.
But what I didn't think to ask
--Was why they wanted me.
And then before I knew it,
--I was in another town.
No memories, no life,
--But I felt like I was found.
I had three great friends and a peaceful life
--But only seven more days to live
A summer life free of worries
--And with so much more to give.
But strange dreams of SHADOWS at DUSK
--And friends I never knew,
Came to me as men in black robes
--And my anxiety only grew.
And with school coming nearer
--We still had a repot to write,
But when we went for research,
--All my fears took flight.

My life came crashing in,
--The world seemed to stop,
I met a man who said he knew me
--And that I'd only just forgot.
He said we were friends,
--He said I wasn't to blame.
He asked me a simple question:
--"What's our boss's name?"
I told him I didn't know,
--So he heaved a heavy sigh.
And when I fought his flunkies,
--I knew my life was a lie.
I fled to that old mansion
--That lies beyond the woods,
I needed to see that girl
--So she could tell me all she could.

Once we sat down and she looked at me,
--She told me of a chain.
Of magic and adventure;
--I thought my questions vain.
But she stared me down and kept me still
--So as to tell the other parts,
I learned of a missing CHAIN OF MEMORIES,
--And a place called KINGDOM HEARTS.
Then she disappeared and I had nowhere left to go,
-So I looked around, and what do you know?
I found enough lab equipment to put on a show.
A show of good friends
--And sweet summer days,
Of a perfect life
--That's now just a haze.
My anger boiled over
--And my vision began to cloud,
When it finally cleared,
--I was panting on the ground.
Hot tears streamed down my cheeks
--As I sobbed away the pain.
But with a new lust for destruction,
--I had nothing left to gain.
I saw only one passage
--And through its inky doorway
I saw a darkened figure
--But wanted no more of his hearsay.
Once again my anger grew
--And I pulled out both my tools.
We fought again and I thought his demise,
--But I must find myself a fool.
He was gone, but not for good,
So I stood,
Shrouded in this falsehood.
Soon I found
--Those friends I never knew.
And with them
--I held a reflection in my view.
I saw him there, this strange new boy;
--And I knew I was his rover.
When his eyes fluttered open and we both muttered muted words; I knew.
--My summer vacation is over.

My name is Roxas and I am a NOBODY;
I work for ORGANIZATION XII.
My life is a lie—an artificial hell that was grown,
And in this horrible world the only comfort I have
--I knowing that it is not my own.
