The other shinobi abhor Kakashi's tendency to mourn, to look back at the past constantly. They know that those hours Kakashi spends standing in front of

the memorial stone and thinking about his lost ones were hours that could be spent fighting, screaming, dying, living. Hours that could be used to complete

a mission. They were wasted hours, and the other shinobi understood this. If it had been them who died, they would not have wanted to be mourned.

Mourning was not something shinobi did. They took missions and completed them, so that other people had the luxury to stand around doing nothing but

pitying themselves. Maybe, maybe if the person had been special enough, they would think of him as they drove a knife into an enemy, as blood covered

them. The enemy's blood. Their own blood.

Shinobi do not mourn. After all, why waste time mourning for someone you're going to join soon anyway?
