She Who Danced with Water
She wanted her name in the sky. To be immortalized in the heavens like the heroes of old, who gave their lives to protect and serve. It would stand as a testimony to who she was, and what she'd done.
Her name would be written with the elders, with the spirits of those passed and those yet to come.
She would be with Father Moon—or would she call it 'sister' now?—watching over Mother Ocean. Great Wolf would guide her through the night skies to join in dances with the Big Bear and her baby. She would speak with the Hunter, and dance on the Dragon's back. She would sing with the heavens as the Lovers reunited, and cry as they drifted apart again.
She would be back in the arms of her mother, and run along the stream of spirits.
Aang knew this. With all the strength of all the avatars before him, he bent the stars to his will, and hung her likeness in the night sky.
Now, every night, little children around the world look to the sky. When their parents tell them the legends of old, they often point to the heavens. Little fingers reach out to touch the softly glowing orbs as gentle voices tell them of She Who Danced with Water and her lover, He Who Bent the Stars.
I'm not overly worried about the accuracy of the constellations mentioned. I did no research, just used stories from childhood and memory to make this. Kudos to those who know who the Lovers really are, in our world.
