Summary: Bella's finally had it with Edwards overly-protective attitude. But everyone knows how hard it is breaking up with a vampire.
Disclaimer: I don't own twilight, but boy if I did, I'd buy a big house where we both could live. Sorry, Elton John reference. Which I don't own either, by the way…
…
"No! Edward this is final. I just can't take it anymore!" Bella shouted in an exasperated manner. She was tromping through the woods near her house heading back towards the little place she had spent summers at when she was younger. Edward was close on her heels though, and he wasn't about to let the conversation stop.
"I'm begging you, love, just please reconsider. I'm sorry! It won't happen again! I can't live without you!"
"Why, because I'm like, vampire crack or some other such nonsense?" She asked, only speeding up her pace.
Edward wasn't about to let her get away, though. And let's face it, vampires have far too many advantages (speed, strength, glittering skin) to actually lose in pretty much anything. So Edward just simply sped up the tiniest bit and was in front of Bella before she could blink.
"Yes Bella, you are exactly my brand of heroin." (A/N :Did I spell that right?)
"Yeah, and how many defenseless humans have you used that line on in the past decades?" Bella exploded.
Ever since yesterday's incident Bella had been thinking about if her and Edward's relationship was exactly, "healthy". After coming to the conclusion that they were way to over-protective and too…glittery, besides a few visits from Alice, Bella was totally and utterly off vampires.
Even if they did have great pickup lines.
Learned from centuries of experience.
Bella had been over at Edward's house yesterday, as per usual. Anyway, Rosalie had made a very Rosalie-like comment about what she thought Bella would taste like, and Edward went off. He had full-on ATTACKED Rosalie and probably would have killed, well, ripped apart and burned her if Bella hadn't intervened. It was then that Bella decided his attitude towards her being "fragile" was no longer endearing.
Edward pleaded with her, giving his best, unintentional, I'm sure, puppy dog face. Bella sighed in defeat, knowing that once again she was buying into the usual thoughts that it wouldn't happen again and that he had learned.
She went up and hugged him, mumbling the whole time about forgiveness.
And hating that she knew it would definitely happen again, and that they might as well be stuck in a vicious circle.
