His head felt heavy, laden. Every muscle in his body ached and burned. It was as if they were completely worn out and exhausted any energy in them. He slowly opened his eyes but it hurt for him to even do that. The room was incredibly bright. As his eyes adjusted to the light he noticed that his hands were tied behind his back with some sort of kryptonite cuffs as he lay on his right side on the floor. The room that he was in was all white walled. No windows. No pictures. Just pristine. The crimson red of the blood on his shirt, face, arms and hands were startling compared to the room.
He slowly tried to sit up. His movements and breathing were so labored that he behaved like a person who just hit by a car and was trying to rise to avoid further harm.
It's about time you decided to join us Clark, Lex said from behind him.
Clark turned and saw Lex standing at the other end of the room, all in black. Except for a kryptonite ring he fashioned and was wearing. Do you like your new room? Lex said jokingly.
Where's Lois?! Clark said raggedly.
She's safe. She's not here, but she's safe, Lex mentioned, staring at his ring hand nonchalantly.
At this, Clark rose quickly and started towards Lex. No amount of Kryptonite was going to prevent him from finding Lois…his Lois.
Where is she!? Clark said angrily as he stared into Lex's face, threateningly. The muscles in his arms flexed as he formed his hands into fists in his kryptonite cuffs. What he would give to be able to break these in half.
As I told you before Clark. She is safe and she is not here, Lex said avoiding Clark's gaze.
I don't believe you.
Lex took a controller out of his pocket and pointed it at the side wall. A large screen appeared and in it, Clark could see Lois back at home. She was by the fire, watching a movie, wrapped in her blanket, just like before.
Clark looked at Lex, infuriated and puzzled. This can't be real.
And yet, it is Clark. See Ms. King, who you were so fortunate enough to meet, repeatedly, and I, got all we needed out of Ms. Lane. And…we got you. So there was no need for her anymore.
What did you do to her Lex? What did she say to you? What sort of twisted game did you play with her this time?
Well, Lex said calmly, coolly, while shutting off the screen and looking straight at Clark. She told us so much more about you than I ever could have imagined. She told us about all the things we could find at your barn and farm and your formidable ice fortress in the arctic. Not like I didn't know some of this before. And then we made her forget.
We made her forget her being here. We made her forget her kidnapping. We made her forget any information that would be helpful in stopping and capturing me. We made her forget you.
Lex pushed Clark out of his way and then punched him in the face.
Clark slammed into the wall, smearing his blood on the white wall beside him as he sank to the ground.
Have a good night Clark. Enjoy your stay. It's going to be a while.
