' you are now entering Newport beach, California' Summer Roberts soft brown eyes studied the sign, looking back at it until it disappeared in the distance. "you okay, mom?" the sound of the male voice snapped summer out of her daze. "yeah , I'm fine. I'm just" her voice trailed off, she wasn't sure exactly how to complete that sentence. "now bray, you know your mom's allowed her eccentricities, she is pregnant after all" brayden chuckled and summer looked at the man beside her in the passenger's seat. Sandy blonde hair, tan skin, crystal blue eyes, dazzling smile. Not to mention, a successful businessman, funny, charming and really quite sweet. He was the perfect man, everything she should want. She looked back at the boy in the backseat, dark eyes curly hair with matching eyes, pale complexion, tall for his age and lanky. Even at seven years old he was becoming increasingly more neurotic and becoming quite the little smart-ass. Brayden was the spitting image of his father, Seth Cohen. Summer couldn't bear to think about him. It had been several years since he broke up with her before going away to college. Of course, he didn't know that she was pregnant. and now...he was married to Anna stern. The smart girl Summer always knew he deserved. And she was engaged, and caried her second child. Summer sighed, placing her tiny hand on heer rather large stomach. She didn't want to be here. with the constant sunshine, beaches, newpsies, and memories of her best friend...and Cohen. But warner insisted they come. he wanted to visit summer's father and see the place where summer grew up. Warner pulled into the driveway of her former home. "you're home sweetheart" she half-smiled at him, looking out the window. This was not her home..not anymore.

"angel" her aging father ran out of the house to embrace his pregnant daughter. He kissed the top of her head but let go when brayden got out of the car. "grandpa" brayden cried out and immediately ran into his arms. Summer grinned at how much her father adored brayden and how brayden adored him right back. Still holding brayden, her father shook warner's hand, smiling affectionately at him. Summer turned away, making her way into the house. her eyes scanned the foyer, everything looked just the same. She used to love her house and its familiarity, but now, she just wanted out of it. tossing her purse on the guest bedroom bed, summer stepped out onto the balcony, taking in the fresh, California air. "you okay there, momma bear?" she heard her father ask as he walked up beside her. "yeah dad, I'm just tired" she said, looking of up at him with a half smile. " you know, you have many talents sweetheart, but lying isn't one of them" summer sighed. "you're thinking of him, aren't you"" he asked, although he already knew the answer. summer slumped her shoulders, "yeah, I--" she started but he cut her off "i know. but everything's going to be okay, i promise" kissing the top of her head, he left summer alone with her thoughts. but it wasn't going to be okay. not with her here, without Cohen, carrying another man's baby. summer felt like nothing was ever going to be okay again.
