Suji San immediately got Uuji San to check out the journals. Even though she had been with the gang the longest, she didn't know the journals existed. The journals were red, and seemed to glow in a strange way. Every night after lights out, Suji San and Uuji San translated the journals by flashlight into a composition journal.
This was, of course, on the side of Suji San's job as a gang member. The man in the suit seemed to have an endless number of people he wanted dead. This reminded Suji San of Fuji San's prisoners back on the ship. It seemed that the man in the suit was acting weirder and weirder though, as if he had multiple personalities.
The house of the edgers was filling up, slowly but surely. Suji San had no idea what he would do. He wasn't making any money off of his job with the gang, so there was no way he could afford another house. Suji San considered searching for another job, but he was a talentless piece of garbage, so that wouldn't do.
After a few weeks of slow translating, Uuji San had the journals translated. The whole journal was endless rambling and drawings about some kind of cloning machine, alternate dimensions, links, Randal Sipher (whoever that is) and an addiction to 'form changes.' It was late, and the two of them couldn't make sense of it.
Before Uuji San slipped back to her cot, Suji San stopped her. He asked her if she was intrested on going out with him. She said yes almost too fast. Suji San was happy, but also a little bit suspicious. Sinse they were dating, thay now slept in the same cot. This is, thus far, the first Suji San crush that actually led to something.
In the morning, the couple tried a little harder to dicipher the journal. All that they could figure out is that 'form changing' is what the man in the suit associated his multiple personalities to. Uuji San seemed to skip over thr part about cloning, and they basically got nothing done before Suji San had to go back to his job.
That night, Suji San woke up to a loud tearing sound. He crept out of his room and out into the long hall. The sound was coming from the man in the suit's room. Suji San opened the door silently and couldn't believe his eyes. The 4 journals were hovering above a blue portal. A blue ball shot out of the man in the suit's chest and into the portal. A purple ball shot out of the portal and into the man in the suit's chest. The books fell to the ground and the portal dissapated. Suji San ran back to his room before he could be seen.
