This is my first Naruto fic. I'm not really known for anything other than Twilight, so if you do read this, please review.

Warning: Involves self hate, bulimia and cutting.

I do not own Naruto.

She's always the one they never expected to have an inner struggle with herself.

They always expected the bright, happy girl to be exactly that. Bright and happy.

They never knew of the inner turmoil, the self hate and the blame. The way she liked it. They never knew how much she struggled. They was she liked it. They never knew of her depression, her illness.

Just the way she liked it.

As she vomited, forcing any food she had eaten earlier out of her rapidly thinning body, she did not see it as killing herself. She saw it as improvement.

And still, nobody knew of it.

Just the way she liked it.

Naruto would smile his trade mark grin and throw in a thumbs up. Sasuke would remain cold, and hide his feelings from her in orfer to protect her. Kakashi would be oblivious, atleast to her, and continue with his reading.

Ino would see it as normal behaviour and ignore it completely, Shikamaru would be too lazy to think anything of it.

Hinata saw something, behind that fake smile, behind all the make up. She saw what she went through. She saw the inner turmoil, the self hate and the blame. She didn't like that. She saw how much she struggled. She didn't like that. She saw her depression, her bulimia. She really didn't like that.

Hinata saw through Sakura, and she didn't like it.

She would smile, fake - yet still beautiful. Green eyes dull, no sparkle left. Pink hair had faded to a dull color.

And staring in the mirror, her hand touching her reflection, she glared.

For Sakura couldn't see the beauty she held. She saw hate, disappointment.

And with that, once again the metal would bite her skin and taste the crimson.

Was inspired by an amazing author. You have no idea how much you help me.
