AN: Watched Double or Nothingness last night and was kind of hard to understand. But I enjoyed the Rommie/Dylan moment. Here's what I wished had happened.
Rommie listened as Dylan told her the story of what had happened to him, it really was unbelievable and relief flooded her because since he was in front of her he was safe.
He stood up and sat down right in front of her, "Then I was here with you."
"I guess I understand, maybe after I have time to think this over."
Dylan smiled, "Good." Just then she was shocked when he took her hands, "I missed you."
Rommie laughed, "Uh huh right."
"No I really did." He said softly.
Something was wrong here but she couldn't really figure out why, "You did?"
Dylan nodded, "I really, really missed you."
Rommie felt shock as he closed the distance between them and put his lips on hers, Rommie had always had fantasies of him kissing her. She wished reality was better but it wasn't, she just couldn't enjoy it, the bad feeling she had was growing.
"Dylan?" Part of her told her to enjoy this, the other told her to question.
"Captain orders." He replied, with a boyish grin.
Just then a Dylan's voice came but it wasn't from the man in front of her. "Let her go!"
Dylan pulled away and Rommie looked on in shock, another Dylan was at the door. "She's way out of your league pal."
The Dylan in front of her smiled, "Right on time."
The two Dylans pounced on each other as Rommie grabbed her forcelance and hurried into the corridor. She had to make a decision and shot the one on the right. "Rommie?"
The clone had an astonished look on his face as Rommie fired a few more times, and he vanished in a haze of blue light. "I had a strange feeling when I was with him, that and his bio rhythms didn't match yours."
"Rommie when I said what I said, I wanted you to know it was me."
"I know." She replied, trying to sound professional. If only he would kiss her and say I missed you.
Later she stood in the arboretum when Dylan came, "Feel ok?" She asked.
"Getting there what about you?"
She saw the concern on his face, "I'm fine."
His concern seemed to be more than a captain for a member of his crew, "Rommie the clone did make me realize a few things."
Rommie turned to fully look at him and looked up into his eyes, "Really? Care to tell me what?"
Dylan didn't answer as he put his lips on hers; Rommie felt a jolt go through her. This was everything she had ever imagined. His lips were soft and gentle, and waves of pleasure were sweeping through her.
Eventually he came up for air, "That was sincere."
"Maybe you're a clone."
"No I've had feelings for you for a long time, my double made me realize it. If he had hurt you I would've killed him myself. I love you Rommie."
She gave him a hard kiss, "I love you to Dylan Hunt."
Just then Harper came on the screen, "I'm waiting to be let out of the Slipstream core."
His image blinked out, "Better let him out." Rommie replied.
Dylan smiled a little boy smile, "Why not leave him in a little longer?"
Rommie smiled in return, "I already let him out but we can still get some privacy."
They shared another long, lingering kiss.
THE END.
